Poor of the club to accept any money from a political party, whether ir be Greens, Conservatives or Labour.
I realise the club have to bring in money somehow, but they have a stance on gambling companies not advertising at the club yet they allow this farce to occur.
Very poor.

It isn't new! Michelle Donelan had one up at the club for years.

It isn't new, no.
But still poor judgement to be so brazen. Donelan has gone now and the contract with her expired. There is no need for the club to take on more dirty cash.

Surprised we’ve got space for it - it’s great to see so many new businesses supporting the club. Makes a refreshing change.

Great to see yes but do you know the size of a football pitch? There's plenty of room!

Well my comment was slightly tongue in cheek of course (some people need it pointing out). Just being positive about the overall upturn in our commercial activity and the positive strides the club seem to be making off the field with social media presence, online ticket sales etc. We’re likely to have a gate of over 1000 tonight - not many of our pre-season friendlies have attracted those sorts of numbers in the past.

Think Darren is doing a fantastic job. As for political boards there is nothing stopping other political parties subscribing to one as long as they are legit. Hardly think people will change their political allegiance just because there is a certain board pitchside. After all we play in Blue and no one has complained about that 🤣

I don't suppose anyone on the Board reads this, but its one thing to take a sponsorship board from the sitting MP, ie Donelan at the time (supposedly attended a game and asked if we were the team in blue...) which would likely be charged as promotional office expenses (ie we all paid for that!) compared to taking a 'corporate partnership' with the Chippenham Conservatives Association and boasting about that on Instagram.
Crazy for both the club and the local Tories - what do each hope to achieve with this?

As ever, the optics are not great.
Michelle Donelan opening the new bar a few years ago was bizarre and now we have this cringey "partnership".The club will possibly get a reputation and be ridiculed as the club of a specific political party. With the reputation of a club and what they offer being so important at our level - probably does CTFC no favours in how it's perceived. Hardly looks the wisest join up. Especially in a time when politics is at a very low ebb reputation wise.

An insane decision to associate the club with a specific and naturally, divisive, political party. Hopefully the ridicule and reaction makes them walk back on it but wouldn't hold my breath.
