Re: First Signing

A classic signing under the current regime. A good player who hasn’t been in good teams but done ok. Goal record isn’t too bad and he’s still young enough to make big improvements.  Harry Parsons got 2 goals in a whole season and we got him to double figures the following season so Touray starts from a better place than Harry did.

How we replace Luke Spokes and Joe Andrews will make or break our summer IMO.

Re: First Signing

I am new on here,so please bare but i am a long time supporter. We needed a goalscorer of note and hopefully Ezio is the one. I hope to give a balanced view going forward on all aspects, and yes i am a season ticket holder by the way.

Re: First Signing

Reece Fleet joins having made 400+ appearances for Oxford City, including cataining the side up to the National League.

His twitter suggests he left owing to change in their training programme, so this looks like a very smart pick up and plugs one of those midfield holes. Good signing.

I think they have gone either full time or hybrid, hence the switch. With hybrid you need players who are self employed or pay them loads.

Re: First Signing

Touray definitely feels like a typical signing for us these days – young, decent pedigree, and clearly with potential to kick on. If the coaches can get the best out of him like they did with Parsons, it could turn out to be a very smart bit of business. Agree that his goal record suggests there’s something to work with. But yeah, completely with you on Spokes and Andrews. Their replacements will be crucial – get that midfield balance wrong and we’ll struggle to build on last season. Big few weeks ahead.

Re: First Signing

New signing announced.

Canice Carroll who spent time with both Salisbury and Oxford City last season.
A centre half by all accounts so possibly a replacement for AAH if the big man departs?

Re: First Signing

Sounds a good replacement for AAH though a shame if he is not staying with us. In his interview a month or so ago Gary said he had agreed personal terms with two strikers. Has the second one fallen by the wayside?

Interesting that you think we’ve got the best out of Parsons
A12 goal return is not great, although granted he was bench for many games.
Hopefully a lot more to come this season

He scored 2 goals the season before and played a lot of games, so whatever the view point it’s a big improvement from his previous efforts.

Tyreke Johnson leaves for Australia. Ethan Vaughan in. Looks like a straight swap?

No word on Holloway or Nat Williams yet?

Out

Mannings
McClure
Bray
Johnson
Andrews
Spokes

In

Vaughan
Fleet
Carrol
Touray

3 more signings?  Will Mr Trialist be making an appearance at Mangotsfield?
