What a player he turned out to be, flourished under Collier he and Will Richards were as good as you get, if only we had a few like him now. Heart on his sleeve.

A modern day Chippenham legend. The word is reserved for those very few who have given absolutely everything to this club in their time and I don't think in my some 25+ years supporting the club I have seen somebody who embodies more the "Pride and Passion" emblazoned on our shirts than Greg Tindle. The lads who took us to Wembley, legends, Iain Harvey, James Guthrie, both long servants to the club in a very successful time for us, Andy Sandell and Dave Pratt for their scoring exploits in the two seasons together than took us to the heights we are now, all of these lads are legends of the club. Greg is an Icon! Born and raised in the town, schooled here, affiliated with the various youth teams his entire young age and for me, Greg is the one that stands out above them all. Came to Chippenham Town a young defender and suffered various setbacks and adversity to become the captain of Chippenham's only modern era League Champions. That season was special for all of us, for many reasons. But very little feeling on earth matched watching the elation as Greg ran from his own half every time to jump over the back of the huddle and scream towards his supporters in sheer ecstasy! Watching him lift that Southern League Shield above his head was one of the proudest moments of my life, the culmination of a seemingly impossible task to see us into the National League South after so many attempts via playoffs and just falling short. Personally I would like to thank Greg for making my dream come true, watching my team win that League title and taking us up! Enjoy your retirement now Greg, you have earned it and there will always be a spot at Hardenhuish for you I am sure. Captain, Leader, Legend you will always be!
