St Albans 0 Chippenham T 2

Away from all this time for change rubbish. Weve just got back. Todays performance was very solid, four across the back with Kite and Casey looking very solid in the middle. The midfield  worked very hard  throughout, with Lye and Harris bossing the proceedings.Nathan made changes up front, bringing in Knighton and Phillips, they both chassed and harried through out the first half with Knigton scoring a cracker on 24 minutes. In the second half St Albans  pushed us back but we kept a good shape and stayed very solid, not suffering from our usual silly mistakes. Alan Griffin on as a second half sub wrapping up the win with the second goal on 85 minutes.Making this probably our best performance of the season. The atmosphere after the game was a bit special.Well done ladds lets hope this can continue.

Re: St Albans 0 Chippenham T 2

Well done John good to see someone being positive. It's a Shame people come on here to stir things up from other clubs and hide behind made up names but hopefully the club can find out these people ASAP ;-) . Anyway I didn't make yesterday as I thought it would be off but sounded like a great 3 points away from home and at a place where they were favourites beginning of the season . Hopefully we carry this into Tues and Sat at home. See you Tuesday

Re: St Albans 0 Chippenham T 2

I was looking forward to reading the match report in the NLP (as it was game of the day) only to find a half written scoreline with no match report. You would think that they would check to make sure everything was in there but anyway looking forward to Totton on tuesday COYB

Great result, brilliant game! Too really good goals, Knightons overhead was just superb! Made standing in the rain for 2 hours absolutely worth it! Roll on Tuesday.

Re: St Albans 0 Chippenham T 2

It is good to see some positive  news ,well done to all the team and let us hope we have turned a corner the talk of DP being asked to return was beginning to depress me !
It is also good to see the forum busy,as for rogue infiltrators getting in to pointless debates only encourages them but as an elderly lady in an old peoples home once said to when i apologised for disturbing her," we could do with some disturbing some times".
Unfortunately can not make Tuesday but rather than wish the lads good luck i  hope they will make their own luck with a good display.

Re: St Albans 0 Chippenham T 2

Much much better. Superb goal from Knighton that would be in the running for goal of the month on MOTD. The defense was superb with Tyrone proving just how good he is in taking Barry Hayles out of the game. Harris had has best game for us and bullied the midfield and Williams looked very comfortable. The lads proved their worth yesterday and my mood has changed for the depth`s of despair to one a optimism. Keep playing like that and we will be in the mix.

A good result, but lets not get carried away.  With two home games coming up, 6 points is a must and my mood may change, we need to get the stay away fans back.  Rudgy says he has a squad of 16 which includes himself, injuries and suspensions will hurt us.
