Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

Another longish trip tommorow, confidence looks to be growing amongst the ladds, Tom Knighton is a good signing he is a decent striker, I reckon if we brought in a big dominant centre back our side could challenge for a play off spot. Good luck to Nath, Rich and the ladds tommorow.

Re: Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

Just got back and what can I say? terrible again. The pitch looked like a louisiana swamp and I found myself looking behind me in case a gator got me. 1st half and it always looked like Redditch would go into the break on top. Little or no chances from us although we shaded it on possession, but that doesn`t win games. Second half and we changed tact with Guthrie and Knighton coming on after about 15min, we looked a little better and had our first shot on goal after about 65minutes. Ended the game with all the strikers on but never really looked like threatening the goal let alone finding the net.

In short:- Did we deserve to win?....NO, Did we deserve a draw?.....NOT REALLY, Did we deserve to lose.....YES.

Becoming very very worried now.

Re: Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

When it clicks for us, someone is gonna get one hell of a hammering. I feel we did deserve to draw, we just don't get the luck. Their goal hit Williams and could've gone anywhere, unfortunately it went in however when Ballys shot is deflected it goes narrowly wide. Keep the faith.

Re: Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

To blame bad luck is a recurring theme lately but when does not good enough become more realistic ?. I think we have reached this point now and the reasons are i am sure varied and only the board will be aware of some of them.I suspect one reason is the difficult step from playing in the squad to playing and managing especially when " friends" are brought in.I have some sympathy for Rudge but sympathy like luck runs out and the realistic position of the present situation and the likely improvement if things do not change have to be faced ,this does not automatically mean Rudge goes but perhaps he needs support to make some difficult decisions regarding those close to him?

Re: Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

I second that....We need Darren back. He would be the perfect choice!

Re: Redditch Utd v Chippenham Town.

you cant blame luck forever. I'm not anti Rudge and its true theres a long way to go, but unlike previous seasons we arent beating the top sides whilst losing against the bottom. This is looking sticky.
