Very disappointing indeed. Why wouldn't they be motivated to keep the unbeaten run going, infront of their biggest crowd for years? Most fans turned away and left at full time (one player ran to the touch line to retrieve a beer bottle from and ice box). Goodness knows how many more they had on Saturday night? They will struggle to get any more points after that performance? Come on guys you owe us a performance after that!
Shocking post blackandamber,I think you owe an apology.

Don't begrudge the celebrations at all - it is deserved, just that should have been lower key yesterday, especially after lacklustre first half performance. We definitely missed Sandell, but we have managed without him OK in the past few games.
Being Champions then going on to have an unbeaten run to the end of the season and a points record might have been a worthwhile objective to set the players.
Waiting a week for a massive celebration doesn't seem daft to me. Some of that large crowd needs to have been encouraged to come through the turnstiles next season if we are to be competitive. Sure they may turn up again on Sat to see the trophy, but will they come regularly next year if we don't put on a good show now?

If the fans are not encouraged to come through the gates after the season we have had we are in trouble. Chelsea lost today in a poor performance let's hope that they don't have negativity like we do.Big clubs left in our wake Leamington, Slough Town,Merthyr Town, Kettering, Weymouth, Hitchin,Kings Lynn, Cambridge City come on get real.

Seems like I'm not completely on my own in thinking we were let down some what? There are some on here who would never have a bad word said about Town? Lets see some desire in the next two games and I will come on here and gladly take back what I've said....

Not heard from you until we lose, then you get busy. Introduce yourself to the real supporters tomorrow. I will be in the Frome clubhouse at 2 o'clock, just ask for Reg. Chippenham shirt on with a cider.

Like alot of other supporters I was unhappy with Saturday's result but just think for a minute I know we didn't turn up until an hour after the whistle but could have easily won 4 - 2 if some of our chances had gone in. Anyway lets look at the whole season, I don't think we'll see the likes again as next season we will just have to consolidate our position in the higher league and not drop start back down. Everyone at the club has the right to be proud of this season and it will be a highlight in the history of Chippenham Town. " We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want". see you all at Frome.
PS Note to Leamington fans, end of season champions party now at Chippenham not as previously planned on Weymouth beach.

So pleased for the players and the club but what an anti-climax today. If we'd managed 2-2 and kept the unbeaten run going I would have been ecstatic but really would have still felt like a damp firework. I fancy Frome to beat us on Monday now and then hopefully we can do the job properly next Saturday getting the win, the Trophy and medals. Personally I think the celebrations should have waited until then. If Leamington had won, then maybe we would seen a different reaction from the players today, Terrible first half and worst possible start to the second, although but for Chitty it could have been 4 goals for them after that.
Fancy a Frome win !
