St Neots Town Home. This Saturday.

Well this game can't come quick enough for me.  It's making the week drag.  One thing I hope and some may disagree. I really hope that Lemington beat Biggleswade on Good Friday, Making our Saturday game with St Neots in to a Cup Final like game.  The atmosphere Saturday will then be even more special. I know it won't be an easy game with St Neots fighting for there lives to stay in the Division.  They will come with a game plan and put a lot of men behind the ball to try to frustrate us,and try to hit us on the counter attack. But the way we have been playing it is going to take a bloody good side to keep us out.
Some one asked me the other day what were my Highs and Lows for this great season, the Low came at Billericay in the FA cup, I really thought this was going to be our year to get to the First Round Proper of this great competition, but after playing for 80 minutes with 10 men and playing superbly well and dominating the game, going in to the final Quarter with a commanding 0-2 lead, they pulled one back in the 78 minute, and then found a late equalizer, only to snatch a totally undeserved win from us in the last minute of injury time.  That was really hard to take.  This was closely followed by the defeat by the bottom side Cinderford,
3-2 on a Depressing cold Tuesday night in the Forrest of Dean.
The Highs probably the away game at St Ives Town. Going into the last 6 minutes we trailed by 2 goal after battering them for most of the second half, we pulled one back in the 86 minute. Two minutes latter we were level, and when substitute Alan Griffin bundled in the winner in the last minute.  You had to be there, Pure Joy for the travelling Chippenham Fans. This was closely followed by the away game at our Wanabee rivals Weymouth, where  we played some superb flowing football and dominated most of the 90 minutes beating them 1 - 4.  With some cracking goals thrown in.  Happy Days.
Roll on Saturday.  Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads. Let's get the result we need to be Championeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.  😎

I'm with Jono - would be much better to win it on the pitch,  especially at home. And there's two more games to get two points, so there isn't really much pressure on bottling it.

However, Leamington are the ones who have bottled recent weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if they draw a blank again. Biggleswade not a easy game at best of times right now.

If Leamington don't get the result they need against Biggleswade and we win the league without kicking a ball there is still something to aim for. Breaking the 100 point barrier would put the icing on the cake.

Re: St Neots Town Home. This Saturday.

To be honest guys, I'm sat on the fence on this one. Part of me wants to get the job dome and over the by our own efforts against St.Neots Town on Saturday, and the other part of me would take a draw with Biggleswade v's Leamington. In my opinion Leamington blew their changes when Frome Town beat them at home, and remember Leamington missed a penalty in injury time. Top sides don't do that. We have been the most consistent side from day one of this season, and the Management Team have tweeked the squad and brought in absolute quality. Highlight(s) for me :- winning 4-1 at the big time charlies Weymouth. What a night and a performance that was. Also wiping the floor with Poole Town 4-1 in the FA Cup. Did they not like that !! Lowlight(s) - the draw at Cirencester Town on Boxing Day. If Griff had not put that last gasp penaly away, we would have won the league by now ! It has been a brilliant season, and I do not want to single out one player as they have all exceeded expectations in my view. I hope for a massive crowd on Saturday, whether the job has been done for on Friday or not - the lads deserve it.  COYMB

Re: St Neots Town Home. This Saturday.

I think the sooner we can win it the better. I dont think Leamington failing to win on Friday will make the day or atmosphere any worse. Its still going to be a big crowd. Just because its done before our game doesnt mean weve deserved it less. Weve won it over 43 games not 1 game where Leamington didnt win the day before us. I think with the big crowd the lads will want to perform no matter what the situation and im also sure theyll want to remain the season on this unbeaten run. 26 games possibly. How amazing is that!! Im hoping for a crowd of around 1000 on saturday and then a big away following of 300+ to Frome followed by a huge crowd last game of the season to see the lads pick up the medals and league trophy with our friends from abroad in attendance. Maybe 1500 for the last day of the season?

Calm down boys and girls.  It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we'll need a point from our last game.  Devon Lock anyone?  Google it.

Sanity prevails - please stop chicken counting. The fat lady hasn't got her make-up on let alone warmed her vocal cords up.
