Re: V Chesham Away. Tomorrow.

This from Chesham account, and the reply from Leamington fans page made me laugh.ย

"Surprise surprise penalty to Chippenham @LeamingtonFC. 7 goes down and penalty given. Barely touched and no10 Jake Andrews scores (1-3) (23)"

Re: V Chesham Away. Tomorrow.

Another strong commanding team performance, all put in a shift, especially Jake Andrews who is growing in confidence and was unlucky not to score 2 or 3.  Good to see Sandell come on for last 15 minutes.  Keep it going!

Re: V Chesham Away. Tomorrow.

Yes this was a game we pretty much had control of for the full 90 minutes. As Mark and Tom kept faith with the starting 11 which had started against Merthyr the Saturday before. The game was over as a contest as early as the 24 minute when we scored the third goal to make it 1-3. Goals from Pratt, Richard's and another penalty sweetly struck by Andrews making up the tally.   To be honest I thought Chesham looked like a team in a bit of a mess on the pitch. And some of there defending and goalkeeping was really poor as there back four, with there big number 5 Curtis Ujah especially  having a very uncomfortable afternoon, as he really struggled to cope with the pace of Pratt and Andrews. To there credit Chesham changed there shape in the second half as they tried to play more of a containing game.  The whole Chippenham team worked very well as a unit with Baggeridge again anchoring the midfield, his work rate and enthusiasm to win the ball was good to see.  We could and probably should have scored a few more but you can't complain with the comfortable way we dealt with the game.  It was really good to see Sands come on for the last 10 minutes and he looked fit and strong.  We are now looking like the big team who top the table, as we rolled in to town and rolled out again with the three points.   As for man of the match I think it was a toss up between Baggeridge and Richards but all round everyone played there part in making this a comfortable afternoon.  Well done Mark, Tom and the lads, now 21 unbeaten, what a fantastic record.  ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thank you Jono๐Ÿ˜Ž, strong experienced subs bench too. No Beedon or Guthrie either.I am informed Andrews continues to impress.
