V Merthyr Town. Home Saturday.

A massive game for both clubs. Merthyr sit in fith place and there current form hasn't been great. Of there last 6 games they have won 2, drawn 2, and lost 2. Four weeks ago the top 5 looked set to be the play off teams but Banbury have been on a great run and are now just 3 points behind Merthyr,  they will now fancy there chances of overtaking them.  Apparently the Martyrs are running two suppertors coaches to the game, so it should be a great atmosphere. And hopefully we will get our biggest crowd of the season and really get behind the lads. It's a game I'm really looking forward to, it should be a cracker because they are a decent side and like to play football. We really need to win to keep up the pressure on Lemington and the chasing pack. Team selection will be interesting for this one, Horgs was confident last Sunday that he would be fit for this weekend,  but with the resigning of Chris Allen Im wondering if he will be.  Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads. Let's keep this great run going.

Re: V Merthyr Town. Home Saturday.

Thought Banbury were the best side home and away that we have faced this season. If we are in play offs I hope we don't have to face them.

Re: V Merthyr Town. Home Saturday.

Banbury were a good side. They could always score goals, but this season they have learnt to deffend. If I remember the away game we started very poorly and got what we deserved in the first half going in at the break 2 down. But in the second half we battered them, pulled a goal back but just couldn't get the second goal.  I hate to say it Charlie, but I think the best side we've played, home and away was Lemington.  We did play very well against them in both games to take four point from them   ðŸ˜Ž

The weather is due to be dry tommorow afternoon.  It would be good to get 600 plus in the ground and create the sort of atmosphere the team that are top of the league deserves. 😎

Re: V Merthyr Town. Home Saturday.

Didn't play great but who cares, another 3 points. Like against Hayes we know how to grind out a win.  A really good attendance and atmosphere. Well done boys.
