V Basingstoke Away Tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to this one. They have a decent ground a step up on most others in this league. At the start of the season I know they fancied themselves for at least a play off spot.  There current form is pretty good they have won 4 of there last 6 games. They have some very good players and are a very good side, but they haven't put consistent runs of form together hence they sit in 11 position.  A win tomorrow would really start to pile the pressure on the chasing pack. It gets really tough for them when they know they have to win every game as we have been seeing.  We are a very good side and look very solid and organised, players are backing each other up and at times we move the ball with real pace and accuracy, teams in this division have struggled to cope with us.  Team spirit is great and it will take a very good side to beat us.  Good luck tomorrow to Mark,Tom and the lads.  😎

Re: V Basingstoke Away Tomorrow.

What a great win that was. Once again we are team of the day in the non league paper. The headline reads Bluebirds brush off Dragons with ease.  Well I wouldn't have quite said that but it was a very good under pressure performance and one of the big tests we needed to come through.  They were a very fit strong young side with several exellent players.  There number 10 Ashleigh Artwell, there number 11 Nana Owusu, a very tricky winger who Dan Bowman did very well to contain.  And lastly there number 6, the sweeper and captain David Ray, he had real strength and pace and he needed it as Sands and Pratt gave him a difficult afternoon.  The strong swirling wind and heavy rain made playing good flowing football very difficult, but the two sides both tried to get the ball down and get forward quickly. Which made for an exellent game of football. We were the better side but they pushed us right up to the final whistle. We did have several good chances to kill the game at 1-2 but we didn't take them, making it a nervy last 10.  But we defended very well with Chitty making a few cracking saves to more than make up for his mistake on there goal.  A bit of credit must go to the young ref James Durkin. Who didn't go card crazy as both sides got stuck into each other and he was right up with play for the whole game.
Games can't come round quick enough at the moment, with team spirit sky high.
Also well done Fromie and your boys you've certainly helped our cause over the last couple of weeks.
Well done Mark, Tom and the lads. Bring on the Dunstable at Home next Saturday.  😎

Agree with that 😎, decent game in difficult conditions. support building good vocal noise behind the goal. I wonder how points will the champions need this season?

Re: V Basingstoke Away Tomorrow.

Well done Mike. I know the players responded and were geed up by the support yesterday. And that Mark and Tom really appreciate it. Let's hope for more and even better support in the remaining 9 games. 😎

Re: V Basingstoke Away Tomorrow.

Matt Smith is certainly making a much valued contribution with his stunning long range "exocet" goals
