Which former Bluebird has signed for Slough?

Ashan Holgate.

They have also signed striker Manny Williams on a month's loan from Hungerford.

Ashan was never a bad player for us really bit surprised however that Slough would go in for him he was not bad but he wasn't really the kind of player to cause huge problems! Good sign of the times when people are making signings in our league and they wouldn't be fit to wipe Sandell and Pratt's boots!!

Had his moments but could look lazy most of the time, didn't get involved in the game or work back when we were under pressure. Went to Poole at the end of last season but they didn't keep him when the got promotion, so they didn't think he was worth a place in National league south.

I think it's going to be a very interesting season next year should we go up! How will we fair if we keep hold of this current team. I have always said in our time in the Southern Prem the difference in quality is not the vast between our league and the Conference South. Just look at our record in cup comps vs these teams and in the trophy and we fair quite well. I think the team we have assembled at the moment is young and hungry with the right blend of experience. Such exciting times ahead!
