Only 3 days into the year but this comment will take some beating for 'stupid comment of 2017'

Wouldn't say its that stupid Fromie. We're a bigger club that's your local derby a you always look up to us. Your players would leave in a heartbeat to join us and they perform well against us because they want to impress our management staff. Also that's the worst we've played this season and you still couldnt beat us when every player on the pitch for us was a 6/10 or worse. Also as regards to the budget you think we have the following clubs have a bigger one:
Leamington, Merthyr, Kettering, Slough, Chesham, Weymouth, Kings Lynn. Us and Hitchin is about the same. St Neots did but cut the budget. Also when you get crowds of 400 you can spend a bit more. But your low 200's won't allow that.

Is that why your players were bad as they didn't want to impress our management staff as they don't want to join us? Thank god for that i wouldn't want any of them ha
Bigger in what way? Yes you get more crowds than us and have been higher than us in years gone by but i have had this discussion with Weymouth fans before as surely the here and now we are all equals in this league until teams go up or down? Bigger crowds and budgets mean nothing unless you do something with it surely ie promotion??
Regarding players wanting to leave us for you I don't think any would to be honest, Phillips the GK has not long turned down Weymouth for a lot more money than he is on with us and Davies has twice turned down Poole for double what he is on. What we have at Frome is not players on loads of money but a lot are good mates who have played together a lot before and we have great team spirit at the moment which sometimes is better than any superstar players.
Ex Fromies Smithy and Chitty left for you when they had got stale and needed a new challenge.
I would love crowds like you and our boys deserve it but for whatever reason we don't get them through the gates.
I have a feeling we will probably be still playing each other next season though so will look forward to my trip to you as always on NYD (or the day after)

Whichever club is bigger or more supported is irrelevant. What matters is results and on that front Frome have been doing much better than Chippenham recently. Chippenham don't have enough cover in key positions and I believe the manager has to take the blame. He does not do squad rotation nor does he like changing anything, meaning that the opposition always know what to expect and set themselves up accordingly. Players who spend most of their time on the bench leave to get more game time elsewhere depleting the already sparse squad. I get that there is a budget but surely every player fighting for their position and the opposition not knowing what to expect is better than what is currently happening at the club.

I've purposely held back from commenting on yesterday's game, as it was obvious the forum would go viral on the performance, and sure enough it has. In my view our performance against Frome was poor at best. It seems to me that since we have released the fringe squad players (10 in total), there is no longer competition for places, which unfortunately is reflected in our recent performances. At the moment we look no better than a mid table team that have basically run out of ideas and direction, and we cannot rely on the teams above us to keep dropping points, which makes our current 4th place even more precarious if we do not start put some results together soon. In the last few games we have conceded last minutes goals (Biggleswade and Cirencester), so potentially 6 points became 2 points. I still believe we can make the play-off's, but we are desperately light in mid-field, and in my opinion this is the key area that needs to be addressed if we are going to make a really serious challenge for one of those play-off places. Try this one!!. I believe that losing Griff was a pivotal point in our season. His love and enthusiasm for this club rubbed off on everyone, not least his teammates. The whole club seems a bit flat since he left if you ask me. How do you replace that spirit??

I saw Griff playing for Cirencester at Frome two weeks ago and , in my opinion, he's a spent force, he was blowing out of his arse after 30 minutes and , probably, for the first time ever he failed to score against us, not even coming close.
As an outsider looking in and it's only my opinion from 27 miles away some of your players are only with you for the cash, why else would Pratt leave Bath City. Sandell came from better things, Both are surely capable, even now of Conference South.
With Frome, we know that the players aren't with us for huge pay days as posted earlier Jon Davies turned down Poole for mega bucks, Kyle Phillips turned down mega bucks to join Weymouth.
We as a club have a small squad but what we do have in bucket loads is team spirit and any amount of sugar daddies cash can't buy that. Finally, we're not doing bad for a side that was the bookies favourites to go down, are we ?

How do you suggest we keep these players ? They all want to play and only 11 can start. The fringe players gave it a go , didn't get regular starts and moved on. Start every week for current club's Griffin Campbell Allan MaCormack Preece. Yesterday bench Horgan Jones Keeper Mario and Beedon , no Tindle. Would you stay at a club and not play and if not in squad not get paid ?

Reginald 74, Make your mind up man! .
" And if Frome were that so much superior to us,how the hell didn't they thrash us ? " Last week you said "Recent form and selection (No Tindle) taken into consideration I make Frome favourites for Monday "
