V Hitchin Town Home.

A massive game for both sides, they sit third with one point more than us, but we have a game in hand, goal difference is very similar. A win for either side would see them pull clear. It's a game we can't afford to loose. Tindle will leave a massive hole in the side. He is one of two or three players in our side that are impossible to replace.  The squad we now have though  is good enough to win this game.
I think Hitchin if  they play like in previous seasons won't come and park the bus, they'll be looking for the win and have a go.  Mark and Tom will have the lads pumped up and hopefully we'll start fast and take it to them. Hopefully kicking up first half which nearly always seems to bring better results. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads.  😎

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

Who replaces Tindle?  Maccormck or Beedon. I have it on good authority Charlie Norman is on the squad so I imagine he is Colliers choice. Not mine though.

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

I am almost 100% sure Charlie will be an unused sub and Beedon will come in for Tindall.

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

It was a good game.  Very even first half with Hitchin always looking dangerous.  Second half I thought we just had the upper hand, especially after they were reduced to 10 men, but they always posed a threat going forward.  Great double save by Chitty by the way.  Quite how the referee didn't give us a penalty for the assault on Pratty was quite remarkable so it was doubly sweet for Dave to expertly take his chance for the winner.  Well done lads.  Good atmosphere too.  Happy Christmas!

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

A fantastic result. I knew we could beat them, even without our top man. Well done Horgs seems like like you can slot in anywhere.  Your up front if Sands gets banned. Te hee. Well done Mark, Tom and the lads looking forward to Boxing Day and Cirencester. Have a happy Xmas and a happy new year all you bluebirds fans. 😎

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

Haven't been too convinced by Horgans performance until today when he was my man of the match. He gave a very assured stint at centre back and never looked in trouble. Not the tallest guy but his timing ment he wasn't beaten in the air. Thought the back four all gave an excellent account of themselves.

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

Very good 3 pts. Looks a good spirit between the players. No Tindle or Smith so well done all. Losing your place in the team and getting back in looking difficult just ask Felix, beware Mr Tindle and Mr Smith.

Re: V Hitchin Town Home.

In my view one of our best performances of the season. Horgs and Will were colossal at the back, and I could not help but notice when their big number 9 was substituted, he went over and shook Horg's hand, as much as to say 'well played Mate' very sporting. The whole team played their socks off, and the only thing that ruined the day was the officials, again. I was right in line with the first penalty appeal, and Pratty was actually fouled twice before his momentum made in tumble to the ground. How these officials interpret these situations is beyond me. Rant over. Just a reminder for those making the pilgrimage to Cirencester on Boxing Day - kick-off is 1pm due to floodlight issues.
