Re: Merthyr Tuesday

Yes I know it's not easy keeping all these players happy, but our little dip in form does coincide with a lot of departures, not to mention the red and yellow cards racking up.

Re: Merthyr Tuesday

Suggestions required please. I did notice in Non League paper last week we were 10 in the country for best behaviour 3Rd in our league. Frome equal bottom with York City.

Re: Merthyr Tuesday

In my opinion even if Tin's is banned for three games he'd be back in the team straight away as soon as he was available, there's not better centre back in the league ( apart from maybe Richards). Same goes for Sand's, who wouldn't have the leagues top scorer in their team? As for the other places tell me who you would replace, Campbell for Fergie ? Connor for Bowman? On current playing performance I can't see any of Mark's first choice line up worthy of being dropped. I know it's hard for those on the sidelines but that's football, if a player gets injured or suspended then they get their chance to make the place theirs. If you disagree who would be in your starting lineup?

Agree, Every team has its almost guaranteed starters.Chitty Tindle Richards Ferguson Smith Pratt Sandell. Horgan Bowman Guthrie Jones Beedon can all play in different positions. Horgan was excellent at right back earlier in season.

Re: Merthyr Tuesday

Think our present squad is the best we have had since we last appeared in play offs, but with Griff leaving we are a bit light up front should Pratty or Sands (who seems to be picking up bookings for fun) not be available. Not convinced Mateus or Ferguson have the physical presence to play as out and out strikers. I notice our rivals have both added to their firepower recently, Leamington with Richard Gregory who was top scorer at Stratford and Slough have signed former Salisbury City striker Chris Flood from Nationwide South Gosport. Guess it must be hard selling a place on the bench though which is all we can offer if Sands and Pratty stay fit.
