Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

Unless you were there you would never believe it. I kid you not we had at least 30 chances 5 cleared off the line and found another inspired goalie. Cinders certainly not a bottom table team, two good strikers who took all there chances against a iffy defence. Mom Sands.

Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

Totally agree with what you've said blueboo, we made the fatal mistake of giving them the lead. You could almost see there confidence grow after that. They have a lot of new playersand a new boss, and after the there first goal they started to believe. Some of our defending was not up to our usual standard, and Lady Luck  certainly wasn't with us, as chance after chance went begging.  There defenders were throwing themselves in to block tackles, and when they did break out of defence they counter attacked with pace. As you also say Sandell was outstanding and has never been in better form for us. Not the performance we wanted. But sometimes you have to give a bit of credit to the other team. I expect Mark and Tom had a bit to say after the game. Shame there's no game Saturday. It would have been good for the players to get that out of there systems. Anyway role on the the Chesham home game on December the third.  😎

Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

I was told it was a wave after wave of attacking play, disappointed we let in three though. I can see 75 points getting a play off space come April.

Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

We certainly had enough chances to win it but if you don't put them away.....In truth at times we were our own worst enemy with some awful passing and lost count of over hit corners and free kicks. But full credit to Cinderford who worked hard for their three points and as others have said they didn't look like a bottom of the league side.

Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

Agree with above and was talking to their keeper's father during the game. The lad is only 20 and has a point to prove having been released by Merthyr where he kept us at bay in the Red Insure last season apparently. Cinderford worked hard and defended brilliantly so i feel that some of the comments aimed at their players by some of our support as they left the pitch are not to the credit of our club.

Re: V Cinderford Town Away.

The good lady ref took a fair share of flack too, not that it influenced the result I feel. We could still be out there now and it wouldn't go over the line. Not our night but there's still a long way to go. A week off may do us some good I feel.
