    All that without Chitty Tindel Guthrie Nuno Campbell even heard Beedon coming back. Salisbury here we come.

    A very good result, considering a good second half from Basingstoke. New full back looked good and similar to Nuno in style of play. Unnecessary first yellow by Preece, blocking their keeper who was trying to clear, cheap booking which led to him being sent off as a reckless challenge for his second yellow. As previously stated Will Richards is a class act, never seems to get riled, no bad tackles or fouls, he reads the game very well.  Well done team. With all those players missing Chipp still put out a strong team.

    Enjoyable match to watch, we managed the game very well and got what we deserved a clean sheet. Everyone worked their socks off, thought our keeper wasn't really tested (which is great) and the new left back looked tidy with bags of pace, it will be interesting to see what happens to him once Nuno is back. Also Smith and Jones both had great games. MOM for me Will Richards, brilliant player. Roll on Salisbury Saturday, come on boys!!!!

    Seems like common knowledge on the terraces last night that Mark Preece is going at some point in the near future. Would expect a conventional right back in to replace him, unless Horgan (who I thought was excellent as well last night - what an engine he's got for his age) is the plan, with Conor hopefully available soon?

    Agree,Horgan outstanding at full back, May need centre half as cover with Preece going. Beedon coming back would sort that issue. Mark certainly has big contacts book I would imagine.
