Re: V Dorchester Away Tonight.

Our new Dorset contact told me it was 1-4. Clearly watching the wrong game. Anyway good stuff.

Re: V Dorchester Away Tonight.

Great result from the boys last night, which hopefully will have given them much confidence which they will take forward to Billericay on Saturday and aim to achieve the same performance and result. Dorchester have picked up in recent games, so this result makes the 3-1 result even more impressive. The question is what does the manager have in mind regarding the keeper's position for Saturday ? Will Kent be reinstated, or does he have a plan C ? Thoughts on this anyone ?

Re: V Dorchester Away Tonight.

This was a Cracking game of football against a very lively and fired up Dorchester side. What a difference from Saturday. The game started at a fast pace, the Dorchester pitch was in much better nick than previous seasons and this allowed for both sides to move the ball quickly. Both sides had half chances in the first 15 minutes but the goal keepers on both sides weren't really troubled. Chippenham gradually got on top with Sandell and Pratt giving the Dorchester deffenders a tough time. In the 30 minute Fergie picked the ball up just inside the Dorchester half he went on a mazey run jinxing his way past two midfielders and into the box and on to the centre back who was backing off, he appeared to lunch out at Fergie in the box causing Fergie to almost loose his footing,  I thought why didn't he go down and make the ref decide but  Fergie being the totally honest player that he is kept going and it came to nothing. But to my and most other people in the grounds surprise the ref had seen the trip and brought it back for the penalty.  Sandell calmly stepped up and stroked the ball into the corner of the net. 0-1.   Chippenham had a good 15 minute spell that saw Dave Pratt receive the ball out wide with the centre back tight on him he turned quickly put the burners on and left the centre back for dead he drove into the box and his curling shot was heading for the top corner only for Murphy in the Dorchester goal to to produce a fantastic save to keep his side in the game. Long range efforts from Smith and Fergie went wide.  Half Time  0-1.
Dorchester came out all guns blazing in the second half and pushed Chippenham back, in the 52 minute they were level. After a poor clearance The ball was pushed across the box a couple of sharp passes cut through what had looked a very solid back line, it found its way to the lively Smeeton who was unmarked and he tapped the ball in from close range. 1-1.  This seemed to spark Chippenham back into life and the attacks again started to flow again. A corner in the 67 minute found Mark Preece at the far post his powerful header beat Murphy and may have been helped over the line by the on rushing Bluebirds players 1-2.  The best moment of the game came 2 minutes later when a cross was thrown into the box, Dave Pratt rose high and headed the ball perfectly down into his strike partner path and Sandells sweet volley from the edge of the box found the corner of the net giving Murphy no chance.  Both sides made three changes Campbell replacing Smith, Jenkinson replacing Allen and Griff replacing Sandell late on as Chippenham controlled and saw out the game. There were decent  debuts for  Chitty and Horgan, all the side put in a very good shift that should take us to Billericay very confident. Espesially with Two key players unavailable in Richards and Nuno the result was even better. 😎
Team. Chitty, Guthrie, Tindle, Preece, Horgan,Allen, Smith, Jones, Fergie, Sandell, Pratt.   Subs Campbell,Jenkinson, Griff, Beedon, Kent.
