Surprised there is no mention of him yet on here.
What do you make of getting rid of Kent and replacing him with Chitty then?
Over the years he has arguably been one of the best shot stoppers in the league, has a great penalty save ratio, only thing that probably lets him down is his kicking.
The times i have seen you Kent seems to almost play as a sweeper and distributes the ball quickly so not sure how this will affect your tactics, if at all. Time will tell i guess.

Statement from Frome..........................Darren Chitty has decided to join Chippenham after a 7 day approach was launched last week. We would like to go on record and thank Darren for his incredible contribution to Frome Town over the past 7 seasons in which he has arguably kept us in the Southern Premier League on more than one occasion. Darren has been one of the most consistent 'keepers in the division whilst being incredibly loyal over the years. Darren, by his own admission, did not have the best of seasons last year and is maybe a bit stale. A new challenge is probably what he needs to regain his fitness, sharpness and get his hunger back. Realistically time is running out for him to win medals so we can't hold it against him. He is living in Chippenham now and with their considerable resources and great start to the season he feels it's the right time to move on. He will be remembered as a Frome Town legend, arguably the best 'keeper we have ever had and a great bloke with it. Everyone at the Club wishes Darren nothing but the best and he will always be welcomed here.On the flip side we have agreed the transfer of Kyle Phillips from Mangotsfield who will come in to replace Darren. Kyle has been one of the best goalkeepers in the South & West division for the last 6 or 7 seasons. Josh played with Kyle for many years and Kyle was an integral part of the promotion winning side at Paulton and their successful first season in the Premier division. Kyle joined Mangotsfield when Bunny left Paulton and went on to be player of the season for them. He is 27 and coming into his prime - we are signing a 'keeper at his peak and expect him to be recognised as one of the best in the division. He is a winner and demands the best from the players around him. He is also a great lad and will know what to expect from Josh and the rest of the management team. Kyle has taken a significant drop in wages to join Frome with the ambition to play at the highest level he can. We are delighted to welcome Kyle to the Club.

If this is true and we have got rid of Kent in favour of Chitty then I for one would be incredibly upset by the news as I have always rated Kent especially in terms of his ball distribution. Yes has a tendency to wander and play the "sweeper keeper" but all in all I rate him as a goalkeeper. If Kent is staying with us and Darren Chitty has signed I would say this is a good signing in terms of offering cover for Kent however as a number one in the Chippenham team of this season I would have my reservations

Well we were asking for a plan 'B' earlier this season, at least some were. - The question is, were Frome in the FA Cup long enough for Chitty to be cup tied?

We got knocked out in our 1st game at the 1st qualifying stage to Salisbury however he did play so presume that means he would be cup tied?

Kent is a good goalkeeper. However, his tendency to wander has nearly caught him out on a fair few occasions. I don't think that is the main problem. In my opinion his increasing size and corresponding lowering mobility due to the kick boxing/strong man stuff is what has led to the club making this decision. I hope he stays and gives Mark a problem deciding who to pick every week.

Kent certainly not at his best this season, shows me the club means business though.

Can't see Chitty jumping ship without being promised more than being cover for Kent.
More to this I fear
