St Ives Town v Chippenham Town.

On Saturday it's another long trip to face St Ives near Cambridge. They sit Tenth in the league having won one and drawn one of there two home matches. I spoke to a friend who has moved and now supports Cinderford and he described them as very robust and physical, a side that didn't give much away. They went to Cinderford and beat them 0-1. We know there pitch is very poor and I would not imagine that it has improved from when we played Cambridge on it a few weeks back. It doesn't sound like it will be a classic. We will need to be right up for this one but I know Mark & Tom will have the lads fully focused. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the Lads. Let's bring back the result we need to stay top of the table.  😎

Re: St Ives Town v Chippenham Town.

Myself and my little lad will be making the pilgrimage with the Boy's on the Team Coach tomorrow. Just a bit concerned about the weather forecast overnight and going into Saturday. Looks like heavy run spreading East, which is where we will be heading. St Ives had a game postponed recently, and having made the same trip a few weeks ago when we played Cambridge City at St Ives, their pitch to say the least is interesting !!  On current form we must fancy our chances with the quality we've got. I will go for a close 2-1 victory.  COYMB

Think the postponed game was due to the Merthyr coach breaking down.

Re: St Ives Town v Chippenham Town.

They have signed former Cambridge United striker Justin Leavers this week, their side also contains Lee Chaffey and Buster Harradine - two of Cambridge City's better players last season. They have won one and drawn one on their ground but they also won 'away' there against tenants Cambridge City. A tough game in prospect.

Re: St Ives Town v Chippenham Town.

Clearly we'd back our own side, but I was mulling this one over. They're unbeaten at Home, but looking at the opposition, havent really shown thier hand, apart from getting spanked in the FA Cup 4-0 by a team from the Midland Prem, Westfields - Albeit a team that have scored 19 and conceded 1...

Not a game i'd be looking to place my £2 on this weekend. COYB!

Thought we were dead and buried at 2 nil with just minutes to go, but I forgot what spirit there is in this team. What a comeback, well done lads, should be a great trip home. " We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want."
