I've never been more disappointed... should have been 10
Seriously credit where it's due - Sandell put in a good unselfish shift. Have to feel for Jon Beeden who gets on the teamsheet but still can't get a run out as a sub when we are out of sight

Well they say you can only play whats put in front of you but frankly Moneyfields were poor and as predicted they were lucky to have 11 on the pitch at the final whistle. To give credit where it's due our boys never took their foot off the gas and were continually looking for goals, some of which were pure class. So progress to the next round with money in the bank ( happy chairman ). Looks like everyone came through the game without injury ( happy manager ). Couldn't pick goal of the game toss up between Sands rocket from outside the box and Griffs lob of their goalie. Went home very wet but happy. "We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want".

Why feeling sorry for Beedon? Griff, chip not a lob ! Sorry to be precise!

I just felt that at 5-0 up we could afford to give fringe players a run out and regulars a rest. Bringing on Preece, Griffin and Jenkinson as a triple substitution when we had Miles John, Jon Beeden and Ryan Campbell on the bench seemed odd. If they are injured and not really fit, why name as subs? Must be quite demotivating. Saw Beeden driving away immediately as I left the ground so he didn't even stay to celebrate with his team-mates, hence my comment. Maybe he just had somewhere else to be.

Sorry Reginald74 but the Gazette and Herald agree with me it was lob. But either way it was bloody fantastic. "We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want".

Don't be sorry, Gazette wrong too. Lob is when ball struck whilst air born, chip when ball struck from deck as Griffin goal.Fact.

Almost twenty years to the day a certain young footballer scored from the 1/2 way line and it was described as one of the best goals ever!
This goal was described by all media as a LOB from the halfway line, he hit the ball on the swivel from the floor, (sound familiar) and it sailed over the keeper.

Excellent. We thump the opposition, then cant agree if the 8th goal was lobbed or chipped and criticise the boss of a table topping unbeaten team for not giviing fringe players a run out.
Welcome to the Chippenham Goldfish bowl Mr Collier.
