    Food for thought

    Hitchin Town switched their 'midweek' matches to Monday last season. They won 6 out of 7 league matches, drawing the other. Their crowds also improved, drawing in ground hoppers and less tv football on a Monday. Obviously travelling away on a Monday after playing 48 hours earlier can take its toll. What do fans think about switching? Obviously it would be up to the club and manager but it is food for thought.

    I agree but I guess it's very inconvenient and disruptive to the away side and that might outweigh the disadvantages to the home players. It also worked for Hungerford.
