Re: Dream Comeback

Fromie, stop worrying about our forum and our club and start worrying about your situation at your club????????? Not a lot of comments or information coming out of your club. I wonder why!!!!!!

I would love Beano, Tweedle, Adams and T Mings (providing he is on contract) then we would take some stopping!

Tommy had his day in the sun at Wembley but remember that he also over saw the humiliating defeat to Dorchester that condemned us to this league for what seems like eternity.

He was long gone before that 6-2 result...

Re: Dream Comeback

Regardless of that he was largely in charge during the downward spiral to missing the cut for the Conference South and that is to me the reason why we have stalled in terms of club progression these last few years. We needed to make that cut this is such a hard league to get out of

Re: Dream Comeback

If I remember correctly, I attended that game, and believe it was one of the first games that Adie Mings managed.

Tommy left around November that season to be replaced by Steve White. As a previous comment said the appointment was a disaster with us finished a lowly 2nd the following season and making awful signings such as Gilroy and Constable.

Re: Dream Comeback

Mr Raider won something, but it wasnt a coconut.

The situation under which he left was a serious cockup, not the appointment. Presumably its the Space between your ears that was Raided?

Want a bare knuckle fight? I'll knock you out you Cnut.

Re: Dream Comeback

I'd agree with that, but from what I remember it was more a bad tempered departure by White than the club. Not that they handled Perrin's sacking well 18 months later however...

Re: Dream Comeback

I believed Mr Raiders comment was sarcastic and condemning the board for calling Steve's appointment as a disaster. Space Raider if you were seriously calling Steve White's tenure a disaster then shame on you and I retract my comment you sir do not win the internet lol. SR looks like you may have been mislead by your source on Chalkies departure he was very much sacked for having ideas above his station with the chairman of the club at the time. Shame really because that man should have been given the keys to the door at Chippenham if he wanted to try something then let him all his previous ideas worked.
