Re: Hillsborough

100% With Hobgoblin. Imagine the families that sent there loved ones off to a game of football. Something they must do several times a season and never seeing them again!! Probably been blown a little out of context but the comment of "boring" and "just get over it" is very hard to take for anyone who can empathise with the plight of another. Disaster strikes at all times but it is called a disaster for a reason.

Re: Hillsborough

Unfortunately George that is where you are wrong regarding the Bradford fire.
Calls for a new inquiry have been about for years, given that the then Chairman had a number of business go up in smoke(8 in total) in the 18 years preceding Bradford. Insurance job, cover up , any different form Hillsborough?
Had your son been killed by the IRA in the 80's would you not feel aggrieved that the culprit may now be walking free.
These injustices barely make the headlines that is dominated by Hillsborough!! so yes I'm bored of hearing about something that happened nearly 30 years ago.

Re: Hillsborough

I am well known to a lot of people who regularly attend our home games and can be found standing with the " Chippenham old boys" Nothing to hide just an honest opinion that I believe the majority of right thinking fans agree with. Will welcome an intelligent discussion about this subject at our next home fixture.

Re: Hillsborough

No Wellard, you miss the point entirely.
The injustice of Hilsborough, is the clear manipulation and fabrication of events to hold the victims and thier associates culpable. That is why people fought for the truth, and its taken them 36 years to get it uncovered.
You can of course continue down your myopic journey and believe those who 'uphold law and order' in our country should not be held accountable, are beyond reproach and that everything you read in The Sun is true. Thankfully for you, there are ordinary people who dont follow that path.

Re: Hillsborough

Haha I don't have any issue being a "big" man when I am not behind a screen either. So far the biggest insult on this thread is the insults you have thrown out to the memory of 96 innocent football supporters. As for the bullied at school you'll be happy to know due to aforementioned size most people didn't really think it was a good idea

Re: Hillsborough

You're entitled to your opinion of course. In the meantime it's that boring that the current head of the South Yorkshire Police force has been suspended.
