Now 5th and if the games in hand dont go our way, by the time we run out next Saturday we'll be adrift of the top three by 6 points who will still have games in hand and out of the playoff spots. A fairly disasterous run. - in reality we're already playing for the last playoff spot. And we've only got ourselves to blame. One win in six games.
Edit. Were already out of the playoff spots. The table wasnt fully updated the two teams behind us can now overtake us with games in hand. We may h ave already f::ed this ip.

There is a long way to go yet, and a lot of points to play for. Keep the Faith. 😎

Be realistic. Take the rose tinted specs off and face facts that the play offs are now an outside chance.

Its going to go to the last game of the season as far as deciding the play-offs and lets hope we are in the mix.
Just 7 games to go against the following
26/03 Leamington (away) - league position 3rd - we won 4-3 at home
28/03 Cirencester (home) - league position 13th - we won 4-1 away
02/04 Slough (away) - league position 14th - we drew 3-3 at home
09/04 Biggleswade (home) - league position 12th - we won 1-0 away
13/04 Cambridge (away) - league position 20th - we lost 1-3 at home
16/04 Redditch (away) - league position 2nd - we lost 0-3 at home
23/04 Paulton (home) - league position 22nd - we won 1-0 away
Its going to be a hell of a run in with the key game being next weekend at leamington.

No defending our form, but this is typical of CTFC fans, give up and throw the towel in. Top six all season, now the team need our support. Lets be aving you !!

Showed a lot of fight second half, you wouldn't have known there was a man disadvantage. Tindle close a couple of times but just didn't have the luck. Both Griffin and Tindle were outstanding, just kept running and running and running. Keep the faith, still a long way to go. Interesting to note Chesham fans on their forum seem to think we have been "throwing money at it since receiving £800,000 from the Mings deal" - Oh how we can dream!

Not surprised by that, Tindle and Grif have the heart needed , No Henry or Sands Smith back next week I think, Cambell not in squad which is strange. Im told manager very calm after, no time for calm, should be blowing his top. No chance of anything at Leamington.

Can't comment on the game as I was not there but this looks like as I have said before this is a league where anyone of the top six can win it or get nothing. Our current form is not that of a team that's going to win it.
Looking back over the season we seem to not get results when Sandell is missing, yes there is plenty of fight from the rest of the team and I think that Tinds has been outstanding ( player of the season ) but we miss Andy's clinical finishing in front of goal. How many of the chances Oli, Griff, Fergie and Tinds have had would have been converted if Andy had got them ??? His season long fitness issue could and probably will cost us a play off place.
But as has been said it's not over yet. We need to win every one of our home games and get something from at least 2 of the away fixtures. Lets also hope Redditch get their points deduction and the other teams in the mix slip up, getting something at Leamington would help. Last game of the season, home to Paulton could be massive for both teams with them fighting to stay up and us for the playoffs. "We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want".

Some people have short memories. This time just two seasons ago we were fighting relegation. Last season we consolidated and this season we've pushed on brilliantly. If we get in the play-offs, great. If not then it'll be disappointing but not the end of the world. One or two key additions in the summer, including another striker who knows where the goal is, and we'll be really strong. But we can still do it this season. COYB
Nice to see Hereford get to Wembley by the way! ;-)
