Before the season started I thought Lemington, Poole and St Neots would be the main teams this season, and although Lemingtons form has dipped a little of late I still think they will still be one of the main teams we will need to finish above to achieve a play off place. They are a big physical side with a decent following. I think they will be the bench mark to show how good we are. If we have the same attitude and will to win that we showed at Cirencester I'm sure we will get the right result. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads. 😎

Assuming game is on. Lemmings on twitter complaining about a previous late cancellation at HP. Very wet again

Great game 4-3 but 2-0 at HT. They made 2 subs and we went to sleep for a bit so 2-2. Really good that we kept at them and took the win. We very nearly threw away 2pts

Very entertaining game in difficult but perfectly playable conditions. Great header by Sands for his goal and a excellent team performance all round I thought. Rode our luck a bit but we could have been 3 or 4 up at half time. Credit to the Leamington fans for keeping up their noise right 'til the end, even though some of them thought the pitch was unplayable ;-)
A vital 3 points that. Well done lads! Also good to see one or two prominent fans who haven't been through the HP turnstiles for years,

A great game which we looked to have in the bag at half time. For the last 15 minutes of the half we bossed the game and could have been 4 goals to the good. But it looked like we had F****d it up when Leamington came back with 2 goals. The whole team really showed their true character with their second half performance. We could easily, as has happened in the past folded and given the game away. This was a valuable 3 points to keep us in touch with Poole. Great all round team performance, lets just keep this up for the rest of the season.

Got to agree Inside and Hobgoblin a cracking game of football with two teams going for the win in ever worsening conditions. Some exellent performances and a lot of heart and desire to win a football match shown by Chippenham. As Lemington twice came back in to the game from almost game over two goal defflicts. When Griff scored in the 78 minute to make it 4-2 I thought game over we've won, but back they came again making it 4-3 in the 85 minute and with 5 minutes of injury time being played and there exellent number 3 putting in pin point crosses time and time again, and there keeper joining the attack for 2-3 late corners the last 10 minutes really seamed to drag by. But we held out and take a massive three points. That is the sort of game that in previous seasons we would have caved in, drawn or even lost. There is a real steel in the side now which we have shown numerous times this season. We're still second and with the prospect of a quality striker joining us shortly things are looking up. As for the Lemington fans, great support right to the end and even after the game. I'm sure they will turn things around and won't be far away from the play offs come the end of the season. Well done Mark, Tom and the lads a huge win.

Have to agree with all the above posts, and what a cracking game of football and a fantastic advert for the Southern League Premier. Both sides were totally committed on a difficult pitch, and it was one of those games that could have gone either way right up to the last minute. Jono mentioned the possibility of a new striker joining the club. Certainly the chances we created as well as the 4 we scored screamed for a ruthless finisher. Still no idea who this potential striker is, but excited at the prospect of a 3 pronged attack. On a less savoury note, apparently there were some unpleasant scenes in the tunnel leading to the ref's dressing room after the game. The Leamington manager tried to gain access illegally for reason's unknown, and the officials had to lock themselves in to stop the guy getting at them. I am sure Leamington will feel the backlash of that incident, and certainly it is not something we want repeated at CTFC. Thought the Leamington fans were brilliant throughout the game and a credit to their club. COYB
