Griff is back!

Alan signed on dual contract. Assume Holgate injury is serious?

Re: Griff is back!

Interesting signing in Griff, but how is this going to work. I assume he is still player-manager at Malmesbury Vics, so will he only be available for mid-week games, starting tonight at Bideford ? Also spoke to Ash on Saturday, and he was in a lot of pain with the injury. Not sure how he will cope work wise with his injury because he has his own light haulage business. Wish Ash a speedy recovery as he does bring something different to the team in my view. I would also like to see young Campbell start a few games.

Where would you fit him in ?

Re: Griff is back!

Yes it gives us some cover up front if Ash is off long term. But would playing him change our style of play ( back to hoof and hope football) or would he complement Andy by giving him someone to hold the ball plus a bit of danger in the air( Olli hasn't done enough of that for my liking). As the previous post says lets give Campbell some more time on the pitch as when he's out there he offers something a different with a no fear style and an eye for goal.

Re: Griff is back!

Hoof it,not sure that's Collier's style to be fair. Griffin very similar to Ash I think,Griffin scores more though.

Re: Griff is back!

To me this seems more of a backup as we have enough cover up front, you would hope Ollie gets a run of starts now if Ash is out for a while.
