Back to reality tonight, as we entertain the inform Slough. The team will be interesting, with the walking wounded squad down to the bare bones. It's a game we could do with winning to keep our selves in the leading pack. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the boys. Let's get into them from the off. 😎

An exciting match in very difficult conditions but I feel that is 2 points dropped especially when you look at the Leamington and Poole results. Good to see Andy getting a goal as he seemed to be lacking confidence in front of goal. Oli and Ryan had good games and if our finishing had been better would have taken all the points. Slough fans happier than us at the end.
Refering to my earlier post what happened to the 100+ "fans" from Saturday?????

Interesting how we all view things differently. I was more than happy with the point in the end as, although we got our noses in front three times, I never felt we were in control of that match at any stage. Very impressed with Slough, they have some very decent players, some in on-loan from good clubs I believe. As for us, we're clearly stretched at the moment, with McCormack, Pook, Ferguson, Phillips(???) injured. We could do with some real physical presence alongside Chris Allen, who I like the more I see play. Oli does ok up front but I'd like to see him bully centre halves more considering the size of him.

I had similar thoughts on last night's game and overall performance Insideleft. Thought Slough were one of the best sides seen at Hardenhuish this season, and try as we might we could not finish them off because they spotted our frailties when Scott Bevan went off injured. At the moment we do not seem able to play out games, and last night was a prime example.I still do not think that we have that killer instinct through the team yet, and this could come back to bite us again. Surprised to see both Poole and Leamington loose last night, which really opens things out at the top of the table.Oli is a bit of an enigma in my view. He clearly has ability and gets into some good positions, but whether it is down to fitness of lack of confidence, I do not know. As you say for a big guy he should be putting himself around more and really pressurising defences. He's what I would call a gentleman footballer.

I still think it was 2 points dropped, you don't win promotion drawing at home. I agree with comments about killer instinct. Who joins Andy up front, Holgate, drifts in and out of the game, sometimes he's chasing everything and laying the ball off to set things up. The rest of the time doesn't seem interested, you have to wait and see which Holgate turns up on match day . Taylor should be more physical and really fighting for the ball, seems to lack that edge to his game could be down to fitness as I think Tuesday was his first 90 mins since he joined us. In my opinion the logical partner for Andy is Lee Phillips. This season when he's played he's really put himself about, he looks fitter and faster than he had previously. Does anyone know what his" injury" is??? LEE WE NEED YOU!

Maybe Poole and Leamington would have been happy to draw, Win the League, where has that come from ? Toboy maybe you should find out where Poole and Leamington have gone, two clubs out and about on the loose cant be safe this day and age. Lets hope they are rounded up as the Division is stronger with them in.

Here we go then. So if you don't attend every game your not a fan? Surely better than the thousands in the town who have never been to a game?
You my friend are a prized bellend.

Appreciate we do have injury problems and the lads who played give their all. HHaving said that we were too light weight in midfield and Slough always seem to have a man free to pick up loose balls or someone was there to collect a slippery ball when a player couldn't control it. Certainly need Pook back asap to provide for that bit of experience but until he is I think Harvs should be in there to provide that experience.
Whilst you can't fault the effort of the players our passing at times was just awful. It was hard enough getting the ball off Slough but when we did we all too often gave it straight back to them with a sloppy pass.
A draw was about the fair result but if we want to challenge for at least a play off spot we need to start turning draws into wins as having drawn too many games in past seasons has cost us dear and shame it happens again this season.

Cooky, you miss the point what I am saying that as a town of 40,000 souls we should get a decent crowd for most games not just high profile cup matches. There were people there on Saturday who will not set foot in side the ground again this season. So if someone who puts his money where his mouth is a bellend then guilty as charged.

Did you not read my post? I agree we should get more but you can't really moan about people coming to watch games even if it is the odd game. Like I said better than none at all and the casual watcher may turn into the permanent fixture. We all had to start somewhere :-)
