Well played Bluebirds, kept going right to the end and even with 9 men could have equalised. Crowd given as 811 looked like more than that. Now back to the league and another tough game against Slough. COYB

Was going to congratulate them until I read the insulting yokel bullocks on thier forum. So I hope they get a sh*t draw and go out empty handed.

Plenty of good natured banter behind the goal from what I saw and heard. You can hardly blame them for making references about tractors when a song proclaiming our ability to drive one was frequently sung by Chippenham fans.

I think the penalty just before half time was a killer, and a massive game changer. With Chippenham kicking up the slope things were looking good for us with the prospect of going in 0-0 and attacking down the slope in the second period. There didn't seem seem to be a huge appeal from there players for the penalty. players always tell the true storey. Going in 0-1 down at half time was a massive blow, espesially with a couple of penalty shouts our selves being waved away by a very very poor referee. The first goal was always going to be the game changer against a team that have now won eighth games on the spin, most of them 1-0. Tindles sending off seemed very harsh as he seemed to take the ball before catching the man. Mark & Tom were forced to use all three subs chasing the game. And with Connor McCormack suffering a hamstring injury and having to leave the field we were down to nine. Very disappointed but we must be due a couple of good referees especially after some of the very poor officals we have been allocated lately. Fair play to the nine men who fought bravely to the end, creating a couple of half chances. There supporters were a great bunch who turned out in force and gave fantastic support to there team. Very disappointed by the Chippenham support although the weather was awful and didn't encourge the walk to the ground fans. Hopefully we can take this defeat out on Slough at home this coming Tuesday evening.

Pretty sure that was sung once only

No shame in that performance. If we can hold our own against a team 4th in the league above with the only goals separating the sides being a dodgy penalty and a breakaway goal in the last min of injury time, I think this team would be fine in the Conf South.

Tractors don't bother me. We all want to drive a tractor... But 7 fingers ? F**k off you half French pricks.

To be fair looking at some of the idiots at the game today I think the Maidstone fans had a valid point!

Ref set the tone with Matt Smiths yellow card. To my mind was not even a foul let alone needing a caution. The Maidstone fans alongside me agreed he got the ball. Appears he just didn't like tackles from behind on the greasy surface. Penalty was harsh Scott swung to get the ball and caught the player, but can't really argue that it was not a foul in the area. At 0-1 at HT we were still very much in it.Kent's yellow and the penalty also harsh the striker had lost control of the ball and already appeared to be going down when he caught his leg - justice done with a great save to keep us in it. IIt was a tactical error to bring Oli on when Collier had said before the game that Fergie and Connor had tight hamstrings. Whilst I admired the ambition adding to the strike force we were down to 10 before Tindall's red. He did get the ball but tackling from behind he also appeared to scissor the strikers legs. Only a clearance off the line stopped 9 men forcing a deserved draw. The last goal icing on the cake for Maidstone in injury time -fair play to them for keeping going right to the end and not taking the ball into the corners to run the clock down.

Tackling from behind is a foul FACT Matt Smith. Whilst we are at it New Fan lets sack Collier !
