Performance not one bit important. Result, £4500, and another round to look forward too. Heard Collier say 1 defeat in thirteen, top of league and still in the cup.

When I said lets have an easy home tie next, what I really meant was lets have Bath City at home, now that would be a game !!!!!!

We started slowly and gave Bradford confidence, with Bradford playing well & taking an early lead. A cracker from Smith into the top corner got us level, only for Bradford again to get on top and go 2-1 up. Kent making a couple of good saves to keep us in it. With half time approaching Mark Preece heading a corner powerfully down and up into the net, sending us rather fortunatly in for the half time break level. Strong words from Mark and Tom at half time saw a different Chippenham side in the second half with the bluebirds on the front foot, creating and missing Several good chances. It was great to see Andy Sandell coming on and boosting confidence. A very long throw from Sandell saw Lee Phillips clever flicked header find the back of the net to give us a late 3-2 lead. We just about deserved the win for our second half performance, but massive credit to Bradford they played really well and as Joiner said earlier they looked better than a couple of the teams from our league. Good luck to Bradford for the rest of the season. It's £4500 in the bank and were in Monday's draw. There are several teams from lower leagues still in it, it would be great to get a good draw at home. Happy Days. 😎

l. Philips despite scoring the winner missed two golden opportunities thatshould have put the game beyond doubt sooner - his shooting days are over. Great to see Sandell get a run out and his presence on the pitch immediately lifted the team
Lee's best days may be behind him but he and Taylor played well together particularly in Phillips showing how to trap and hold a ball - something we have lacked - also this was his first 90 minutes having before been given about 20 maximum. The second and better chance appeared to have been scuppered by a very dodgy bobble as he pulled the trigger. This is the 2nd time he has scored this term - both with his head and not forgetting that he set up the only goal of the game with an excellent pass into the goal area against Merthyr. I think he still has something to offer
