Bradford town

Just looked at their web site and see they have a certain Aaron Cornwall playing for them. They seem to have had a mixed season so far with some good wins but also defeats. A winable game if we go in with the right attitude ( not like Paulton or Slimbridge). They are not to be taken likely as their result over Hungerford shows.

Re: Bradford town

Another £4,500 on offer for the winners. I can't see Mark Collier taking any chances with this one. Hoping for a decent crowd from Chippenham to give the atmosphere of a home game!

Re: Bradford town

We went across to the game on what must have been the wettest night of the summer, although the pitch was excellent and held up very well.  Bradford started at a very high tempo and took the game to Hungerford from the start. This seemed to unsettle the away side and an early penalty was awarded with Rhys Tyler bringing down the BOA striker as he was about to put the ball into the net, the ref rightly sending off the Hungerford player with BOA converting the penalty. Hungerford seemed to regroup and had the better of the last 20 minutes of the first half missing several good chances. The second half was fairly even with both sides missing chances. Bradford scored a late second to clinch the game with Hungerford pushing men forward in search of the equaliser. A little larger Aaron Cornwall played the sweepers role and looked  very comfortable all evening. Bradford looking a descent side with several very good individuals. But if we play as we can with a fit again Andy Sandell I think Aaron Cornwall and his team will be in for a much tougher afternoon. I know Mark & Tom will have our squad fully focused for the game espesially after the previous season slip ups from Chippenham in the FA cup against lower league oppostion. Looking forward to seeing Paul Shanley again. Should be a cracking game with a bumper crowd. 😎

Re: Bradford town

Any top tips for parking near the ground tomorrow? As I recall the club car park is small and it looks like its double yellows on the road outside?

Re: Bradford town

Their Twitter site is respectful but confident re our game, although it also states Aaron Cornwall is suspended, don't know if that includes any replay.

Re: Bradford town

We know ourselves how easy it is to get mentally up for these games. I've never seen Bradford play, but I've watched other highly motivated outfits take it to us in a direct fasion that pays huge dividend if the tempo can be maintained. I've watched us do it to. When the ball went forward with a couple of minuites to go against Basingstoke, it was Chippenham who had the desire to get the numbers up the pitch and ultimately the win. - We must play our game, dont panic and take our chances. COYB!!!
