Not much activity on this site in the last few days. I assume tonight's game with our friends over the border is still on?
Rumour has it that it is all-ticket.

For a team who is top of the league can't believe how quiet your forum is people will soon be back on here though when you lose a game (hopefully tonight
)

0-0 , a great result bearing in mind we had to play 70 minutes with 10 men after Holgate got sent off. No complaints about the sending off but then in second half nasty tackle on Bally that only saw a yellow for the Frome player whereas think it could easily been a red.
Can't pick a MOM as it would be unfair on the other 9 as 110% effort from every Chippenham player. Frome must be kicking themselves as they missed 2 golden chances near the end to win the game but also Bally had a effort that just rolled a couple of inches past the post.

Hope we don't get the same ref. if we do then the crowd need to put the same pressure on him as the Frome crowd. After his sending off Holgate wrongly sat in our dugout. The tannoy announcer screamed at a Lino about it and the Lino ran on the pitch to tell the ref. all perfectly legal but you get my jist

Well that was an interesting night. The sending off of Holgate was correct, but their number 3 should have gone as well for retaliation. Referee and linesmen were crap, the tackle on Bally in the second half should have been a straight red. The lino on our side of the pitch couldn't make a decision unless he looked for direction from the ref. On the positive what a performance from our 10 men or should I say giants, they played their hearts out and it would be difficult to single out individuals for praise but Kent, Greg and Bally were excellent. Now for Tuesday, should be a good game, lets keep 11 on the pitch and give them a hammering.

See Frome had 7 subs on the bench on Friday against our 5. Given we were short on numbers anyone got any idea where Beedon and Francis are? Left injuried or what??????

Why have 7 can only use 3, also budget i presume. Cash rich Frome,

Think a sub keeper might have been a wise option now we don't have Griff to do that job should anything happen to Kent. If Park keeper wasn't thought to be up to it perhaps we could have 'borrowed' a non cup tied keeper from somewhere Toolstation, Hellenic or local League club.

Having attended Friday's game at Frome as well, I have to agree with all the above comments regarding the standard of the officials on the night. To say they were poor is probably paying them an undeserved compliment quite frankly. No issues with the straight red for Ashane, but as hobgoblin rightly stated, their No.3 ahould have walked as I clearly saw him strike on of our lads. Could not see who he struck, but the lino had the same view as everyone else, so must have surely seen the reaction. My biggest concern with officials these days, and Friday's game was a classic example, is the inconsistancy of referee's decisions. Why was the above mentioned assualt by the Frome guy on Bally when he was in full flight not punished with a straight red ? The guy was actually airbourne when he connected with Bally, and I'm sure the lino did not even flag for the offense. Some referee's instruct their assistants to only flag for off-side or throw-in's, but surely if they are supposed to be a team should they not run the game as a team. Tomorrow's reply will be a bruiser no doubt, so lets hope we have some strong officials.
