What, a topic about a game 3 days in advance? Must be getting the vibe..
Last nights twitter feed was interesting. They went a goal up almost from the kick off and conceded 7..... I can't draw any conclusions other than we need to keep level headed and play our game.

I remember them doing us 5 0 at home and then beating us in a title decider. and the 5 0 was around this time of year. revenge is a dish best served 10 years late.

Don't think a win will is a like for like comparison so a season ending decider but let's see what happens at the end of the season!
That Histon game was my first away day and will live long in the memory. Think they were shocked with the amount of buses that turned up and one of the best atmospheres created.

If I remember correctly some of the buses didn't turn up until later in the game, luckily I made my own way there. Revenge today would be nice.

0-0 HT and Sandell not even on the bench. Reading between lines on Twitter he may be injured?

Decent result considering the long coach journey (with no air-con according to Wil Hulbert's radio report) and missing the injured Andy Sandell (he was subbed at Poole I believe). Clean sheet. A good week on the road. We now have a clear week I think (?) so hopefully we can get the injuries cleared up ready to go again. COYB

True with regards the air con . We can't have it both ways . If we want the team to succeed then need better than that on a 3 hour plus journey !!!

Followed the game on Histon's Twitter page It looks like their Keeper kept them in the game and that Bally had a couple of good chances. So no doom and gloom it's still a good point on the road and Ciren failing to take advantage.

With the air-con on the coach not working the 3.5 hour plus journey to Histon was long hot and unpleasant, some of the players did seem affected. Our three midfield runners Guthrie,Smith & Fergie seemed to be missing there usual running power and domination they have shown in our previous games. Especially at Poole on Tuesday. We started slowly and never really got our passing game going all afternoon. As temperatures hit 36o on the pitch Football became very very difficult. To be fair to Histon the effort they put in for the full 90 minutes was outstanding, there manager had there players well up for the game after there 7-1 hammering the week before, they got in our faces right from the start. We did have chances but so did they. A draw was a fair result. There players and manger really celebrated the result on the final whistle you could see how much it meant to them. Sometimes you just have to give some credit to the other teams effort. A disappointing result but 13 from 15 points is a great start and we are still top. Dorchester at home on Saturday, followed by Hungerford away on the bank holiday Monday. Four more points and a few more people getting behind the Town would be great. 😎

OObviously we all wanted a win, but a point is a decent enough haul after a long journey. My SLP betting strategy hinges on the home team where the away team has a long journey - and over the seasons it generally works. An injury to Sandell was always going to be a concern, but MC will huave a better idea now of how things will work if he doesn't play. COYB!
Update: Sandell knee injury.
