Re: Poole Town

Looking at the videos of the goals - the first pen looked like a no-brainer for the ref to decide and so he has to be consistent thereafter... hence 3 pens for pushes in the box and 1-2 scoreline. The final goal by Smith for 1-3 however is a great strike but from what I have gleaned Poole were down to 10 men by then?
Anyway - a terrific result and a massive confidence boost.  Hope we don't get ahead of ourselves but we have Histon on Sat who were done 7-1 last night by Slough and will want to make amends for that if they can!

Re: Poole Town

Wouldn't have thought we'd be 11 points in front of Paulton after four games

Re: Poole Town

Well football is a game all about opinions. Apart from the points gained, which is all about the scoreline.

The blogspot has a balanced writeup http://ptfcdolphins.blogspot.co.uk/

Re: Poole Town

Over 2,000 views of this thread, maybe some more of them will actually turn up and watch the boys play now that we have a winning team. Tuesday was their hardest test so far and we came through it with style. Certainly shut the mouthy Dolphins up, let's hope our "Muppets" can do the same at Histon.
