Commercial Manager

Well done to the board for wanting to appoint a full time Commercial Manager. Looks like a decent job with "Good rates of pay, generous bonus plus company car." If the right person is appointed it can do wonders for the club, on and off the field.

Now, where's my CV?!

Re: Commercial Manager

Wasn't somebody appointed to this post a few years ago, under Malcolm Lyus? and then quietly dropped, good luck to whoever takes on the post.

Yes, I believe she was sacked after only about 12 months in the post. If I remember, the former G & H reporter, Tim Penwell, took over on a part-time basis the following season, but he resigned at the end of the season. Could be wrong though; my memory ain't what it used to be!

Re: Commercial Manager

Ok but that position shouldn't be a commercial manager that's not what they will be doing. Marketing manager would be more appropriate #justsaying

I don't think that we should be too concerned over a job title, as the advert does say: "To promote sponsorship and marketing of the club." Sounds fair enough to me.

Just got my goat.

It's a personal thing really as work in a commercial department and that's about as far away from what I do.

Re: Commercial Manager

Spotted a 'one-liner' in yesterday's Indy, page 9.  Andy Sandell is the new Commercial Manager.

Re: Commercial Manager

As I am aware, the post was advertised in the G & H for 2 weeks at least 3 weeks ago! Good luck to Andy as he was one of many to apply 😀

Re: Commercial Manager

Heard about Andy being appointed as the new Commercial Manager from Roger in the Bluebirds Club Shop. An excellent appointment as I understand Andy was in a similar role prior to becoming a full time pro. This must be a nearly unique situation when one of our player's also has a full time job with the club. Could I take the opportunity on this forum in wishing Andy every success in this challenging role, and let's hope he get's the name of CTFC into every interested business in our area. COYB's.
