Odds for the coming season

25-1 to win the League. Hmm, might be worth a couple of quid!

Re: Odds for the coming season

After watching 2 of the 3 Pre-Season friendlies Yorkie, I'm very tempted to have a flutter myself. Before the recent signings I was somewhat under-whelmed by what I saw in training. The squad looked very ordinary and to a point resigned to making up the numbers in the SPL

Re: Odds for the coming season

Sorry All - pressed the wrong button in mid sentence - old age I think.
We will frighten teams this season with our pace and the way we can alter the pattern of a game. Sandell is very much unknown at this level, and teams will not know how to play him. Equally Matty Smith looks like he is really enjoying himself in his new surroundings. For me he could be the pick of the new guys coming in. If you want a prediction, I think we may make the play off's if we can keep the majority of the squad injury free and suspensions to a minimum. The latter being a big ask.

Yep, I agree. I've got this feeling that we are going to be a team to be respected this season. The days when we concede 7 against Bideford and 9 against Stourbridge, at home, are in the past...................I hope!

Re: Odds for the coming season

Three good performances so far especially the Wantage game.Team spirit  looks to be sky high. Sandell,Jones, Beavan, and Matt Smith are looking very good, we have players who can play at a high tempo for 90 minutes. Teams with pace generally dominate our league. We will see more tommorow evening when a descent Weston Super Mare side that drew 2-2 with Newport County on Tuesday visit Hardenhuish Park. I would think Mark & Toms starting line up against Weston will give us a big clue as to who will start the first league game at Dunstable the following week. 😎

Re: Odds for the coming season

We're 9/1 4th favs now. Possibly the quickest shortening of odds I've seen in a long time. We play the bookies favourates tonight.
