Looks like Matt Coupe will not be a bluebird for the new season, in my eyes a great shame....wonder where he will touch down

No disrespect to Coopy Rockin, but I think the Manager realised that at 37 years of age, Coopy was not the quickest player out of the blocks anymore when confronted by a nippy forward at SLP level. The times he was caught out in those situations last season invariably saw him bringing the guy down in a dangerous position. Agreed we will miss his experience at the back, but we have Tindle, Preecy and Shane who are much younger models, all who can step into that role. Personally I would like to see Preecy as Team Captain next season. As the manager has indicated, the bulk of last season's squad have agreed in principle to re-sign, and with the youngsters coming through, and perhaps the addition of a prolific striker (if only Nick McCottee was available - what a player), I think we have the makings of a good squad.

I don't think we saw the best of Matt Coupes last season, he had a real injury hit season. His desire to get himself fit though was second to none. A real pro who hated to loose and a good guy. We will miss his voice, others will have to step up. Good luck to you Matt where ever you go. As for Nick McCootie a class act, would have scored a hatfull for us. I'm told he's signed a new deal with Bath City teaming up with Dave Pratt, another very good player. Keep the phone calls going Mark and Tom, good luck boys.

Sorry to see Coupe go too, his experience was valuable in every game he played for us, even if he is past his best now. Lost him for a large chunk of the season thanks to an unpunished foul by our old player Ashley Williams. It would seem that we did make him an offer, but he wanted more... if you read between the lines of the G&H report of an interview with Collier.

I believe Hungerford is his next stop.
