Bit confusing. One minute young players are going to be given a chance and the next get comments on here that few are good enough hinting what's the point and others why have 5 subs anyway. Seen Park a few times this season and there are a few who are worth giving a run out from the bench particularly as nothing on games now. George Nash for example I'm sure is worth a go.
Went along to the Park game yesterday and thought the young ref had a good game. Early on in the game gave a penalty for pushing in the area and don't see that too soften so good for him being brave enoough to do it.

Whats confusing ? I am in the corner that says young players WILL be given a chance, however it appears the best two were playing for the County !!

Good to see he reverted to a winning back four, bringing Beedon back in for Tindle, and rest of team was unchanged. No report in G&H yet so do not know what happened apart form the report on BBC Wilts at full time. However a good win, from other posts, obvious manager did not include Park players as suggested by him in the G&H. To be quite honest without the posts on this forum and snippets picked up here and there we would be in the dark.

Totally agree about being int he dark

Re: Chesham Utd

Reginald 74 I'll tell you what's confusing. Young players are supposedly going to be given an opportunity in the first team but to be given a chance they have to be included either in the team or start on the bench. Well, my maths tells me 4 subs are less than the 5 you are permitted to name so why no Park player on the bench if the intention is to try them out. It wouldn't be as if you were leaving out a first team squad player to make way for them. See why my simple mind is confused. But lets see what happens over Easter as maybe with two games in three days might include one or two.

Re: Chesham Utd

Best two were in County squad Saturday, which bit of that is confusing?

Re: Chesham Utd

Given that MC has targeted a top 10 and we're winning our games, can't see why at this stage he would. Or at least limit that participation to his prospects, who by all accounts were somewhere else.

Re: Chesham Utd

Collier should be looking to see what players he may be working with in the future and finding out if they're worth giving opportunities too next season, call it doing your homework early. What's a top 10 finish worth, not like we get paid ala Premier League for where we finish.

Another point, what do players gain from playing for the county, not a lot I suggest.

Re: Chesham Utd

FA rules, players must be released from clubs, also a honour for young lads. Collier has a plan im sure.
