Agree Jono. Looking forward to the game. Wonder if Jack Odam will get a start?

Bossed the first half and needed to put the game away then a different team out for the second half - asleep and inept from the kick off hence 1-1 at 46mins

Should have put the game to bed in the first half when we were dominant and playing very well. A moments lapse let them back in, then we were on the back foot, and only a couple of brilliant saves from Kent saved a point. Not sure who got MOM, but other than Kent I thought Bryan Smith played very well overall. Jack Odam looked very sharp when he came on. I think Guthrie is suspended for two games now (and Tindle one) so no doubt he'll get his chance to start very soon.

Very cold and bitter night, and pitch was frozen and difficult. First half dominated as early posts indicate and start of second half were still in the dressing room when they scored a sloppy goal, and after that we played too deep. Guthrie suspended again, oh well at least whilst he is not on the pitch he cannot get anymore yellows!! Such talent blighted by stupid cards. No games for two weeks, might have a look at Park.

I can only agree with all the points made by Insideleft - the team that played in the 2nd half were a pale shadow of the 1st. Where passing had been crisp and accurate suddenly we were more often than not giving the ball away - In part due perhaps to an increasingly icy pitch but Biggleswade were able to cope and in truth were a little unlucky to not take all the points.. Having said that we could have been out of sight before halftime. One thunderbolt shot from Pook looked goal bound until an amazing diving header from a defender spoilt the chance.
Despite his good goal tally I have not been a fan of Holgate however he was a totally different player last night and was winning the ball in the air, was a very effective target and showed the physical presence that had been lacking previously. If he can keep that standard up I will have little to criticise him for.

Certainly in the first half played some really good football and some great passing from Smith and Pook. We totally dominated the first half and there lies the problem. Dominating the game and only having one goal to show for it must give your opponents hope and so it turned out. I'm not the only one who fails to see why we have one out and out striker on the pitch ( that's not criticising Ferguson in any way as I don't think I have seen him have a bad game but he's not an out and out striker) and three sat on the bench when our problem is scoring goals. Why sign Odam leave him on the bench when we need a goalscorer on the pitch.
Less said about the second half the better but end up not winning the game after so much dominence in the first half was always on the cards.

Totally agree with Bluebirds2006 comments on last night's performance. The first half we looked like a team in the top three with everyone putting in 100%. Second half more like a team fighting relegation. Extremely impressed with Holgate's contribution last night. His link play with Bally and Guthrie, particularly in the first half, were a joy to watch, with arguably the best football I've witnessed this season so far. Full marks to the 160+ fans that braved the arctic conditions last night. God was that cold !!!

Well it was a change to have a good first half.May be it was to much to ask for the same in the second half.If as most say we have a strong bench, why dont we make changes.Surely we have nothing to lose, cant see us being relegated or making the play-off.Again cant make out starting with one out and out striker.Havent seen to many teams that i would say were much better than us at home.
