Big news and sad news, what a player he has been.

Just seen the announcement on the club website. Very sad indeed and he will be greatly missed as is quite evident from this season so far. Even when Griff was not having the best of games you could always rely on him never giving less than 100% effort.

A masive character on and off the pitch, and a really good guy. A player that always gave 100%. A real disappointment to me that we won't see Alan again this season in a Chippenham shirt. Chippenham were always a better side when the big guy played. Good luck Alan from all bluebirds fans.

That is sad news. Griff has been a great servant to the club over the years giving 100% commitment at all times whilst playing up front but on the odd occasion playing at the back and even in goal. He faced the local press on one occasion with great composure and dignity.
I hope to see him back at Chippenham at some ,but in the mean time I would like say a big thanks and good luck for the future

Griff has always given his all for the club, starting as a curly-haired midfielder in the Youth team! 😀 Enjoy the break Griff, you deserve it.

I'm told Alan notched the equalizer for Malmesbury yesterday, against Melksham Ressies.
