Re: FA Trophy - Bedford

Poole won 2-1 at Biggleswade so our game down there on 29th November will be postponed

Re: FA Trophy - Bedford

Noticed in team line up, that they played with 3 centre backs, bringing Tindle back in at the expense of Beedon on the bench. Probably not a good move, as Beedon can attack down the flanks. We will have to  see what team he puts out against Chesham at home next Saturday.  I thought Preece and Coupe or Tindle would have been okay but not all three.  Just my opinion.

Re: FA Trophy - Bedford

Would agree with inthebox regarding strange playing with three centre backs particularly as the formation Chippenham  play doesn't seem to allow for wide men and the only attacks down the wings mostly come from the full backs charging forward. Whilst Preece, Coupe and Tindle may be better defenders not one of them can attack down the flanks like Beedon. Didn't go to Bedford but I can just imagine that the  left flank was a completely open space as far as Chippenham were concerned. No doubt the manager is trying to keep all three of his experienced defenders happy but based on Saturday's result maybe the playing system needs looking at if all three are playing.

Not at the game.but was told about the game, 3 at the back and 5 in midfield, meaning Mcormack and Guthrie as the wide players .....

Re: FA Trophy - Bedford

Oh dear hear the board were banking on the £4k and means entry will go up 50p next season because of the shortfall

Re: FA Trophy - Bedford

Will there be changes for Saturday?.With plenty of players now fit, competition for places now up for grabs.Thought we building a team for the future, lets give the younger ones a game from the start.
