Re: Histon

Bit of a battle but thought we deserved it overall against an in-form Histon.  An all round team performance with everyone pulling in the same direction, great to see.  Great strike from Guthrie but my mom was Matt Coupe on his return from a broken leg.  Absolutely outstanding.  Well done lads.

Re: Histon

Yes agreee with above, Coupe solid. Tindle back next week, then what .Fair play to Collier changed system and put Roberts up along side Francis. What a goal to win it by the way.

Re: Histon

A real battling team performance today. Have to agree Coupes was outstanding, especially for a guy that has missed most of the season. His organising skills were there to hear and see all afternoon, this was a game we could have lost or drawn with out him. We really missed the second striker today, although Francis again put in a good shift and Fergie ran his legs off as usual. Guthries free kick up and over the wall and into the corner, leaving there highly rated keeper rooted to the spot. A goal worthy of winning a tight game against an in form Histon side who have won ther last five games. A peice of real class. It was really good to see the Park lads coming through and on the bench today. Neil Blackmores long term plans for the club are starting to come to fruition, with the best of the Park lads now training with the first team and starting to break into the first team squad. Mark & Tom will have some selection problems next week as missing players return to the squad, but I know that is something they are looking forward to. Well done today lads. Roll on the Trophy game at Bedford and the Parks home Vase game against Bradford.

Re: Histon

Workman like performance yesterday, good to get 3points.League table shows not much to choose between middle dozen teams.A run of 3 or 4 wins  into play-off places.Concerned that attendances are dropping, not only for chippenham. Will be interesting to see what is going to happen when everyone is available, will everyone stay?.

Re: Histon

Win our 2 games in hand, and we'll be in 7th - Just 3 points off a playoff spot allowing for Weymouth winning at least 1 of thiers. Usual southern league, a fine line between sucess and failure.
