Home V Corby

Chipp 0 Corby 2
A very disappointing performance today. The time lacked a sense of urgency and direction with the substitutions making no impact on the game, no, that’s not true Osman’s first action was to get booked..!
Desperately need a striker who can take the chances that come his way

Re: Home V Corby

heard the manager on wiltshire radio,he admits another forward is needed and is trying to sign someone.Today we lacked the ability to create chances. For much of the game there wasnt much between the two sides apart from the goals. The defence at the moment seems to pick its self and seems to cope with most attacks.Would like to see more urgency going forward possibly ballinger, ferguson, pawley and osman starting as a unit.Perhaps with a few cup games coming up everyone in the squad could have a decent run out,the squad looks strong enough for this to happen and still put out a competive team. The attitude and endevour cant be faulted, we just need to be more cohesive as a team.Couldnt understand some of the bookings especilly toby osmans.Still lets look forward to hemel next saturday, didnt we put five past them a couple of seasons ago.

Re: Home V Corby

Anybody know why if Pawley was signed as a striker he isn't starting?

Re: Home V Corby

Tellingly our goal difference is zero. Everyone above us in the table is plus and our GA is comparable and better than the team in 5th.

Re: Home V Corby

We played well in patches yesterday, especially the first 20 minutes when I thought we looked comfortable, but only up to the final third.  It was then we came up short, although I have to say I thought Darren Edwards showed why he's played at a higher level.  He needs a quick strong player alongside him, someone I know MC is searching for.  We matched Corby just about everywhere so we're not far off.
As for suitable forwards I don't think it's any secret we've been after Lewis Haldane from Yate (who seems to be staying put - family ties and a job might have something to do with that?) and Tyler Sibbick from Larkhall who has chosen to stay put.  Fair enough, but no disrespect to Larkhall, he's clearly got no ambition.  Hopefully MC can bring someone in very soon who'll give us that goal threat.

Re: Home V Corby

Since we put in for Francis he has not scored for Frome and was subbed at half time yesterday
