No disrespect to Ardley, but a very good draw for us especially at home. Could have been heck of a lot tougher. Quite happy with that.

I have to agree that this is an excellent draw for us. Just taken a quick look at the Hellenic Premier and Ardley Utd are roughly in the same mid table position as we are. Went to Sholing on Saturday and yes it was an excellent team performance, but we desperately need a big forward to feed off the crosses that Gus and Bally provide. For a team that won the FA Vase last season, I have to say their facilities were very basic, and that's being kind. Obviously I cannot comment on what their prize money was for winning the Vase, but you would think they could afford a few packets of crisps and peanuts for behind the bar - honestly !!!

I was chatting to one of there supporters on Saturday, he reckoned they took over 40.000 in prize money alone, plus all the spin offs that go with it, like you say sweeper the money hasn't found its way to any ground improvements. I reckon it's worse than when I watched Darren Perrins Frome side win the play off final there a few years ago. Totally agree about the big strong centre forward Nick Mc cootie Paulton would be my first choice.

I'm sure we're after a centre forward, although no doubt he'll be cup-tied whoever he is.

Our old pals down the road at Bath won't like that draw!

Paulton's striker McCootie has joined Bath.

And Mark Preece has joined us from Gloucester, an experienced defender. Welcome on board Mark. Just a centre forward now to come in now, hopefully.
Well done to the Board, they're obviously working hard to give us every chance to build something sustainable for this season and the ones to come.
