Re: Moving on

Obviously a few players not happy that they're not involved here next season, speaks volumes for the club.   I wish all those departed all the best but everyone moves on sooner or later.  Happened to watch some of tonight's training session and the fitness levels looked very impressive, considering they only started back last Thursday.   COYB.

Re: Moving on

Harriet what do you mean? It sounds like the dream team have let 3 good players go??

Why would they do that?

Re: Moving on

30 assists aha. where did that come from? plucking numbers are we. Harley you're not bad but tucking wingers up for fun? seriously fella do me a favour. Johnsy made a lot of mistakes and was getting lobbed every game basically Kent is a better keeper. Also you're banter must be brilliant so brilliant the morale must have been fantastic. So fantastic you must have finished up around the play offs .... Such wronguns aha. Fron whay I can hear the banter and the team morale is better now than ever. Now they have a settled bunch and players are there because they want to be not because of the money.

Re: Moving on

Alright, enough please!
As a fan of a number of years, I always have respect for anyone who comes to Chippenham, pulls on the shirts and gives it everything. And there can be no arguments that wasnt the case with the players discussed in this thread.
For whatever reason they wont be involved with us next season and I wish them well wherever else they go, and lets face its it's not exactly a big non league world we may see them back.
We got the manager we wanted in the end, and he ultimatly will be judged by his record, which wont consist of half a season  and letting a few go.
COYB - as they say!

And its Inbred, not Inbreed.

Re: Moving on

Stratford is not a fan by the way as we can gather. Saying about banter in the dressing room and talking about money and morale. It's rediculas 😂 it's either the managemant team actually it's 100 percent the management team which I find quite bizarre trying to slag there old players off and pulling stupid stats out just to let u fans no

Re: Moving on

Surely can't be a member of your management team behaving like that, disrespecting last seasons players and threatening to glass a supporter?!

Looks like Collier is going for age/experience over youth, time will tell if that's the right way but for me developing young, hungry players should be what it's about at this level. The lads that have moved on will have a point to prove which will only benefit them in the long run.

Can't wait for the season to start

Re: Moving on

After weeks of nothing on the forum suddenly gets very heated and quite personnal.I have no idea what goes on internally within the club and I expect the same applies to a lot of people who post on here. Bit like the individuals who have posted along the lines knudge knudge I'm in the know and we are signing two players by the end of the week and time after time nothing happens. Pretty pathetic really.
Shame Joe and HARLEY have got involved in the "discussions". Personally sorry to see both have gone for whatever reasons and it should be left at that. One thing that made me laugh though was Stratford's stat crosses behind goal 50. Watching the world cup and the number of crosses that end up in row z by so called world class players I would say that is not a bad stat! What do we expect at Southern league level world class? I've said it many times I would like to see some of the Premier League" stars" come and perform week after week on some of these non league pitches and just see how good they look.
As far as the new season is concerned it is now Mark Collier's team and he will be judged on that. So lets see what happens for the first month or so before we make any judgements. Leaving aside who has left and the reasons why my biggest concern as I mentioned in a previous email is the size of the squad. Asked could anyone list the squad but as no replies does that mean no one knows???

Re: Moving on

As numerous posters have mentioned it is still very early days in pre-season, and from what I've seen of the training seessions so far, I've never seen such togetherness in the squad which is really down to Mark and Tom, so please no more negativity. We have a stable, well run football club which is striving to aim for better things. Just be thankfull we have a club to support and are not in the dire straits that Herefor Utd and Salisbury City find themselves !!!!!!
