and, as sort of forecast above, Hereford Utd now seem set to join us subject to meeting certain criteria -according to SL site yesterday. Salisbury outcome ?

This really is very unfair on the Southern Prem Teams .Once again a large team , run incompetently and over budget is relegated to our division. They then come down still spending ! and invariably grab one of the promotion spots straight away ( ie Salisbury City a couple of seasons back ). This then leaves clubs in the league who run a fit and proper club scrabbling over one less promotion spot !!!! The FA must find a different solution #injustice

I see it's now confirmed that as from 21 June Herefored Utd will join our league.
Can't help having some sympathy with the views expressed above!!

I have some sympathy with the above posts, but on the whole I think it's good that Hereford will be in the Southern Prem. Not only will it raise the profile but it'll also boost attendances, as they're bound to come mob handed.
I notice that they have to meet further payment deadlines or face more sanctions, so I wouldn't be surprised if they started off the season with negative points. Anyway, looking forward to a trip to Edgar Street.

I guess we all need to be thankful that we are CTFC fans rather than Salisbury or Swindon Town bearing in mind what both are currently experiencing. 8 players and their (very good) manager gone from Salisbury and their future may even be in doubt

Agree with the first part entirely. As for the second, it wouldn't surprise me if, even at the 11th hour, the league of gentleman found it in their hearts to play the soft game and shift Salisbury back to our league again. Now that would be interesting and would surely provoke a howl of outrage from the majority if not all of the Premier sides if it happened. I assume of course that it hasn't been mooted yet.... Cynical or wot!
