Looking forward to a new start at Chippenham. Can't wait for the season to start now. Have a feeling it's going to be a good one. #Bluebirds

I totally agree ex players that didn't really set the world alight first time around just seems poor signings, sad to say mid-table seems optimistic.

Blimey, give them a chance. Luke Ballinger is a proven player at this level, I welcome him back. As for Toby, well he's got a lot of ability and can play in various positions. Hopefully he can curb his impetuous temperament and avoid too many suspensions. Apart from Matt Coupe (who is vastly experienced) I don't know much about the other signings to date but I trust MC and TJ to be able to put a competitive side together.
Previous managers have had bigger budgets to work with but it's time people took a reality check. Clubs are struggling financially at every level. To retain our current status we need solid support from the off, get behind the management and players and you never know what might happen. Just don't expect us to become world beaters overnight.

All players are welcome, but did Bally walk out last time, strange decision re-signing him. But with a fairly new squad, give them all a chance, at least we have a secure management team now, so hopefully players will not jump ship mid season.

Is he still representing England at futsal?

I have to agree with Inside Left about the reality check. I'd rather see a mid-table Chippenham team with the likes of Ballinger than a side put together on big name players on big wages who then get in a mess as is current with the likes of Hereford and Salisbury. The so called big name star signing type players cost big money, money we haven't got because the crowds are down and sponsorship not easy to attract in the economic climate.
Therefore we have to cut our cloth accordingly and be sensible about where we currently stand as a football club, that may mean a few seasons around mid-table in this division but I'd still rather see a Chippenham side playing a pretty good level of non league in a few years time than out of existence so unless some of the ones on here moaning have a big pot of money to give to the club be sensible about your expectations. It's easy to moan, it's harder to actually act and help the club.

I was happy with the Ellis dunton capture, but luke Ballinger wasn't really good enough when here last time, just seems this was the plan B after lee smith chose hungerford instead ! That's all I'm saying not actually moaning.

Perhaps I could suggest a little wonder up to Hardenhuish Park and see the lack of ambition.
