It is a shame that "This forum is NOT associated in anyway to any football club or people that run any clubs in Chippenham" because as much as I heartily support and appreciate the efforts of those who set it and admin it I feel totally disconnected with the club to whom i give my support.
Friday last i tried to find out if the Sweden England match was to be screened at the bar of club who shall be nameless but gets my support. I failed, nothing on the club website nor on here. Was it only 2 years ago in the dismall world cup that i was at least able to share the misery with at least pleasant company and in pleasant surroundings. This time my mates and I decamped to the Mill House which was expensive, less than pleasant and resembled a creche even at 9.30 at night. The presence of young children didn't even curtail the frequent use of loud foul language.
In summary I would have been pleased to support my club by giving them the money I paid to drink elsewhere and I would like to know what is going on in the football world. there was talk about fans forums declining before the beak was forced out of business but at least you knew what was happening in the non league world. Sad days indeed.
