I see in the gazette many of the squad have signed up.
I guess Ben John being released is no great surprise given all the rumours and the fact he was out of the side at the end of the season. Kent has done well but i would imagine another goalkeeper will also be signed.
Matt Coupe I think will be a very good signing both in terms of his experience and also that nasty edge he has and will terrorise centre forwards next season.
I'm unsure about the re-signing of Toby Osman, discipline issues last time round leaves the jury out for me and I guess we will just have to wait and see how he fairs this time around.
I thought Jake Harris was a longer term signing as reported in the gazette towards the end of the season so not sure why he has gone and why?
Little bit surprised about McClennan attracting interest from the league above. On his day a good player but even at this level needs to show more consistency, especially when the chips are down. If he had a good season next season I could understand it more if he was picked up the season after.
Great to see the likes of Guthrie, Griffin and Tindle returning, three key players in my opinion.
Would still like to see a striker with pace, a creative centre mid and a box to box centre mid (to fill the void left by Rob Dean which is a big loss)
I'm sure there will be more business done over the coming weeks then I'll look forward to seeing what sort of Pre-Season fixtures we have to look forward to

McLennan to Paulton apparently

Good to see Toby back as he can be a very good player. Matt Coupe is interesting signing as he will certainly bring a lot of experience if not a great deal of mobility (if my memory serves me correctly) this will not be a particular problem if he has the ability to anticipate which is how Bobby Moore got by after all. To have held down a postion at Gloucester would suggest he still has something to offer at this level. With Supermarine not making the move up I wonder if we may expect some arrivals from that direction?

Why would he move there! We're clearly a better side than them.

Is he on contract or if not under 24 and been offered equal or better terms for us. If the answer is yes we can ask for a fee. As their average crowd last season was 171 somebody must be putting the money in or they are spending FA Cup money from several seasons ago!!!

It's May 20th, give them a chance!
Two ex-bluebirds will be turning out for Newport next season. Yan Klukowski has joined Andy Sandell in their ranks.
