Yate

Congratulations are due to Yate for beating Bideford in the FA cup who are currently in second place in our league. Yate did well in the cup last year so have developed a mentality that they will do well again and it is working wonders for them. Self belief is a big part of any sport and we showed it ourselves against Redditch the trick is now to keep that belief but not to to swop it for complacency. Another decent result backed up with some more player resources and we can all start to feel a bit happier about the season. More bodies are vital as injuries and suspensions will cause havoc Joe seemed to have taken a knock and I thought that Griff was labouring a bit which makes his excallent hatrick even more impressive. Guthrie had a very good game but is is carrying an injury that will need rest before it gets better. As stated else where Harves was immense and is fitter than I have even seen him - he is also controlling his aggression which has made him a better player. The worry is that he is the "senior" squad member and no matter how fit he is is he could get fatigued - he has played a full 90 in all games I think so far?. Anyway a good win which was much appreciated and enjoyed

Re: Yate

Yes, good luck to our near neighbours. They've got a good draw in the next round as well: home to Gloucester City or Havant & Waterlooville. Makes you wonder what we missed out on losing to Yate in the 1st QR
