Can someone explain why the clubs exists ?
The club has turned into a laughing stock, how did the new manager get this job ? on the basis of what ?
When I got the job I had to spend over 4 years learning my trade at Calne, how on earth people such as Mark Collier and Colin Bush weren't given a chance I'll never know, to be honest some people talking about cheap options and they are right.
When I got the job I took it for £40 a week when I left I was on £13,000 plus bonus a year, I don't know any of the board unless the webbs are still involved so it's not personal but 10 years ago we were the envy of all the local teams, average crowds of 780, playing and beating the likes of Crawley and Newport look at it now.
Pathetic.

We have some really good supporters at this football club, who care about it, and follow the team every week. No matter what the attendance figure, this won't change, we'll still be there for the team, home and away.
Of course, it's understandable to feel frustrated after games like today. To see glaringly obvious changes which need to be made. It's deflating... But, that's football. When you use language as strongly as saying you support a football team, you make a commitment to them.
There are plenty of League clubs who are in a state of despondency, such as Plymouth and Portsmouth, but the fans come back every week. When a team are suffering a drop in form, that's when they need the supporters more than anything, especially at our level, when every individuals efforts have more bearing on the club.
As for the attendances of 700/800 - Perhaps non-league attendances have dropped in recent years, with so much expanded television coverage of the higher leagues, and other distractions? Even in the Conference South, that'd be considered the 2nd highest average attendance:
It'd be great if more people would come through the turnstiles, though. Better for the club, and the matchday experience. Perhaps more should be done to promote the club, I don't know.

Tommy, I'm not saying you weren't worth it, but the size of your final salary really shows how times have changed at HP.

One thing you can rely upon is the "Leg-End" re- appearing on the fans forum whenever things are not going very well... Doesn't do himself any favours.

Legend.
Can you please fill in the gaps for me. You took the club to Wembley, you had back to back promotions then for some reason you were sacked.
Since leaving Chippenham would you enlighten us on what you have acheived in football managment since those days the fans called you Legend.

Now Now Legend.
The reason the club exists is to play football.
The days of paying someone 13k a year maybe over - I have a nagging feeling we're on the wrong end of the bell curve as far as our potential goes, but that still doesnt mean we're a laughing stock. If no investment is a criteria, then there's a lot more clubs to laugh at before you get to this one.
And Happy Birthday.
